1985 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

The box was roughed up a bit by delivery and one of the bolts is now rolling around in a delivery truck somewhere in America. Anyhow, I contacted etrailer and they got a whole new pack of bolts sent my way. Now I have a ton of extras. Anyhow, the hitch fit my 1985 C30, although I had to drill holes in the frame (easy). It looks super sturdy and was in good shape. No powder coat issues.

arrived fast and in great condition - bolted right up .
Although i had to drill 2 holes it went right into place .
Easy installation thank you

1970 GMC C/K Series Pickup

Got my new hitch late last night. I was so glad to get it I had to put it together right then. Its going to be a perfect fit. The hitch is very well built. Very surprised I could find a hitch for a 1970 GMC. I will be pulling my 27 ft Toy hauler after a little more restoration work. Always happy with Etrailer. I'll post more pics when I have it on and hooked up to my trailer

My new hitch from etrailer is working out great. I have pulled my Toy Hauler with my 70 GMC. Trailer weights a little over 9000 lbs. Also did aLS swap on the GMC 6 liter vortec

Fits nicely right under a 10 inch drop bumper on my 97 F-250 HD. Was able to leave the spare tire under there, though I had to grind the latching system a bit to have it fit just right. It is very visible from the sides of the truck along the sides of the frame because of how much it has to drop, but it is not very visible from the rear for those that care about aesthetics.

Hitch has towed everything Ive asked of it. Very solid, no regrets and more importantly no need to ever purchase another one!

I installed this hitch on a 1998
Chevy K3500 with a dump bed. I had to make a slight modification to the truck so that the hitch would bolt up. This included removing a metal shield from under the rear fuel tank, the hitch now offers some protection for the tank. In addition, I had to drill 2 - 1/2” holes in the rear of the frame to install the hitch. The hitch now works great on this older truck, and has been used many times over the past year.

Straight forward install. This is a well built hitch that has taken everything I have thrown at it. The finish has held up well too.

Showed up missing 1 7/16 bolt and 1 7/16 flange nut. I believe it was due to shipping and not the fault of the shipper.

Quality hitch but none of the bolt holes line up, nothing a drill bit can't fix in about 15 minutes, 1972 K-10 Chevy

I thought I had selected the correct Curt receiver and was ready to place an order online, but I decided to call instead. Ashley advised this receiver was the correct one for my bumper. She saved a lot of headache on my part avoiding order the incorrect product. The receiver actually delivered a day earlier than planned. I am impressed with the quality of the product and am planning on an install this weekend, then putting it to work. I will definitely shop etrailer again in the future. From the website, selection of products, knowledgeable associates and fast shipping, I made a good decision shopping here.

Although I had to "help" a couple holes with a drill the install went very well and looks great on my 83 k20! The holes were only partly off and took a few seconds to line up. Highly recommend curt products from E Trailer!

This hitch is excellent upgrade for my old Dodge dually to safely haul my new dump trailer. Heavy duty gussets around insert area for more peace of mind. Install was straight forward, great price, and etrailer.com got it to me quick.

Hitch has performed flawlessly, with max loads on multiple trips. Dually pretty much stays hitched to dump trailer.

by:
1993 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I installed two of these on 1993 ford trucks a f250 and a f350. Both trucks are 7.3 diesels with heavy cowboy bumpers. Buy high grade drill bits, Don't weld to the frame. Don't expect the spare tire and it's brackets to stay on the trucks and expect to reroute the tailpipe. In the end much more useful than just the bumper for multiple receiver hitch applications and worth the effort to upgrade.

This hitch was exactly what I needed. It fit my pickup truck perfectly and was easy to install. I use it pull my 14 K trailer to haul my backhoe, cars, and other equipment. I would recommend this hitch. It was a great value for the price. Thanks.

Chevrolet

This hitch went on my 84 K30 Chevy. Very easy once you remove the spare tire and carrier. Way heavy duty but very easy to install. No complaints with hitch whatsoever. The hitch was delivered in a cardboard box that had seen its better days. Box was busted open in several areas but the anvil type quality of the hitch didn't effect it at all. May have been the shipper fault but none the less.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For 1978 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck
We do have trailer hitches that do not require drilling for installation, but they are only designed for a 1978 truck with a deep drop bumper. If you have a deep drop bumper I recommend part # C15511. This is a Class V hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening. If you have a standard bumper on your truck, the trailer hitch I recommend is part # C14082. Installation of this hitch does require three holes to be drilled into the frame for each side. If you plan on doing some towing you...

  • Does Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver C15511 Fit 1997 Ford F-250/350 With 37-1/2" Wide Frame?
It sure will! The Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 you were looking at is designed to fit both a 34" wide and 37-1/2" wide frame on your 1997 Ford F-250/350. This is possible by flipping the side plates with the tabs facing out for the wider frame, or inward for the narrower frame. I included a link to the written instructions of the # C15511 for you to take a look at.

  • Hitch Option for 2000 Ford E-450 Ambulance
I might have a solution for you, but we don't have custom hitches for ambulances. I spoke to my contacts at Curt and Reese and the only styles of hitches that can be made to fit a service body (ambulance) truck like yours are multi-fit RV hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916. This would be your best option to carry a hitch mounted cargo carrier like the...

  • Availability of Class IV or Class V Hitch Receivers for 1996 Ford F-250/350 With Bucket Truck Frame
We do have a Class IV trailer hitch receiver from Curt, part # C14082, that is confirmed to fit a 1996 Ford F-250/350 Cab and Chassis style frame. As long as your Ford has 34 inch frame spacing this hitch receiver will fit. It has bolt hole centers that measure 31-1/4 inches that you can use as a reference. Since I am not entirely sure what the details of your specific frame look like, if it looks more like a standard truck then you might be needing one that fits pickups with a standard...

  • Curt Hitch Bolt Holes Will Not Line Up on 1998 Chevy K3500
So there's one of two things going on here if your Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 isn't lining up properly on your 1998 Chevy K3500 pickup. The first possibility, and the most likely, is that the hitch was slightly bent, or "flexed" during shipping. This is unfortunately common but also relatively easily remedied; I have added a link to a help article entitled "My Trailer Hitch Doesn't Fit" for you to check out which has solutions. The other possibility is that you have the...

  • Hitch fit for 1997 Ford F-250 With Deep Drop Bumper
The drop of the B & W Class V # BWHDRH25198 is 7-3/8 inches. That represents the distance from the underside of the frame member where the hitch mounts to the top of the receiver tube. If that isn't sufficient to clear your bumper, the Curt Class V # C15511 has an 8 inch drop. The bottom of the receiver tube would be 3 inches lower than that for either hitch. According to the diagram you kindly provided, you need a drop of at least 6-1/2 inches, so either of the two hitches WILL clear...

For your truck you can use Curt trailer hitch # 13028 unless it has the 10 inch deep drop bumper. If it does have the deep drop bumper you can use # C15511. • Trailer Hitch and 7-Way/Brake Controller for 1971 Chevy C20
To install a 7-way and brake controller in your 1971 Chevy C20 the first thing you need to install is a 4-way like the # 18252 which from there you'd convert to a 7-way since there isn't a direct fit 7-way harness for your truck. Then you would need to install the 4-way to 7-way kit # ETBC7 which also comes with everything needed to wire in a brake controller like the Prodigy P2 part # 90885 which is very reliable and great performing. • Are Mounting Holes of Curt Hitch 15300 the Same as 15511 for 1996 Ford F-250 and F-350
The mounting holes are going to be slightly different for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15300 that fits a standard or step bumper on a 1996 Ford F-250 or F-350 compared to the Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 that fits the same truck with a deep drop bumper. So due to that it seems you will need to drill new holes for installation of the Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511. The Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 is designed for cab and chassis models of the 1994 Chevy 3500 pickups. From what I could find it looks like your Cowboy Bumper is the 10" deep drop bumper so you'll want the Curt Class V Hitch # C15317 instead. This has bolt holes that are spaced 34-3/8" apart on center so you'd actually be measuring to the center of the mounting locations instead of the outside of your frame. We do offer trailer hitch options for a 1972 Ford F-250 but as far as the flatbed goes, this will be up to you to decide as none of our options are designed for this use. However, the best option would be to go with one that is designed for models with a deep drop tube bumper as this would give you the best chance of compatibility.
