Ball mount, pin and clip sold separately.It was a nice hitch and works well. The hitch came in like it was drug across the pavement.
The hitch is super solid and went on fairly easily. One note is that if you have a helwig big wig sway bar, you will need to modify those brackets so they mount with the hitch.
Customer service was excellent during the ordering process. Item was shipped same day and delivered promptly. Item was packaged in an acceptable manner considering the weight of the hitch. A positive experence!

Be aware the rear of the bed has to be lifted a bit to remove OEM hitch. Not a big deal, but not a 5 minute job either
Fit was great. I did have to add 1/2 inch spacers when I mounted my bumper to the tabs on the hitch. Without the spacers, my bumper was touching my truck bed. Also, after drilling the 4 holes in the frame rails for the forward mounting bolts, then you have to get the nuts/washers into the frame rail and hold them to tighten the bolts. I welded a piece of flat bar to my box end wrench so I could slide the nuts into the frame rail over the holes and insert the bolts from underneath. A better solution would be an install kit with a couple of short pieces of flat bar with the two nuts welded in place. These could be slid into the frame rail and bolts installed from underneath without needing a wrench to hold the nuts to tighten.
Good heavyweight hitch. The installation was straight forward and relatively easy on my 2006 Ram 2500 4x4 mega cab. This hitch is like a night and day difference from the factory hitch.

This is a great replacement hitch for the poor quality factory hutch. Its been over a year since I installed this hitch and Im still very satisfied with my purchase and the spare tire still fits under the truck in the factory location even with a 5 flo-pro exhaust.
Installed on a 2011 Ram 2500 short box. After unbolting/jacking up the bed and removing the factory hitch/bumper assembly (I had the truck on a lift and used a transmission jack and a couple of tall jack stands to do it myself; otherwise would take two men and a boy) the installation was relatively easy. Strapped the hitch to the transmission jack to hold it in place to mark the four holes that have to be drilled in the frame. Had to remove the exhaust in order to drill the holes on the right side (could have used a right angle drill), and rear exhaust hanger had to be modified so the tailpipe would not ride on the hitch (my truck is a diesel, gas trucks might be ok?). Bolts/nuts/washers (and the wire to fish them in) included for the new holes, however hardware was *not* included for the six main bolts that hold the hitch to the factory hitch mount holes. Instructions said to reuse the old bolts, but the holes in the new hitch are larger. You will need six 4" long 5/8 bolts and appropriate nuts. Minimal additional cost, but I feel like the manufacturer should have included them. Once installed, the fit is excellent. The factory bumper bolts onto the hitch and the gaps/angle are all even. Receiver sits just below the bumper. As others have said, it looks original. Spare tire fit is very tight with stock size spare. Another thing to note... this was not really packaged for shipping, just had some cardboard and shrink wrap, so there were a lot of scrapes that occurred in transit. Unfortunately the manufacturer powder coats these rather than painting, so it can't really be touched up. Be aware of this if you're in the rust belt, or want it to look perfect. I sprayed some undercoating on all the damaged spots and think it will be OK.
Product information said it was custom fit and no hole drilling needed for my 2005 Ram 3500, but it did need holes drilled in frame and the mechanic had to lift the bed up to remove the bumper to be able to install the hitch. He said it’s normally a 1.5 hour job but took 4 hours. Other than that it’s a really heavy duty hitch and should be great for my needs. Pulling a trailer or boat behind my truck and Lance 855S truck camper. Planning to use the Curt 34 inch extension with Erickson 08504 tie down strap to brace the extension to the bumper. Will add a photo of whole setup later.paint on corners of hitch was scratched off on both corners as it was only shipped in shrink wrap, nor box, crate etc.
This hitch is as strong as anyone will ever need, I was impressed by the quality of materials and workmanship and fitment. Coming from a fabricator, the pricing from etrailer.com can not be beat. The shipping was fast as well. Very pleased with my purchase.
This draw tight hitch it’s amazing. The stock hitch that was rated to pull our trailer gave up the ghost, the hitch actually bent severely. The stock hitch bent so bad we couldn’t even pull the trailer anymore. But this brand new Draw-Tite Hitch Receiver solve the problem. Hasn’t given us any trouble at all after the instillation. Great product built heavy duty. Gets rid of junk stock hitch. Staff was very helpful the 4 months I waited for this hitch bought in May got in August draw tite said to etrailer it was because metal shortage but when I got the hitch the manufacturer date was made in January try to figure that out.

Everyone with a heavy load should have this hitch on their dodge. The truck will break in half before you rip this off the fraim.
Purchased hitch and was delivered on time with no issue, but the only issue I have with the hitch is that it was made for dodge only and the bolts are not long enough to put hitch on as it’s a tubular fram so bolts had to be 4-1/2 for frame, Great Product…
Perfect fit,excellent upgrade that looks factory installed! If you want a heavy hitch that sits factory height this is it. Can’t beat the price either.
I ordered the hitch because I am familiar with the quality of Drawtite’s products. When I ordered the hitch I noticed the hardware kit was missing, but life got the better of me and I never called to inquire about replacement hardware. Drawtite’s website has a complete parts list so I was intending to just buy the hardware I needed. One year later I received a follow up email from etrailer.com asking bout my purchase. I called the customer service number in the email and explained my situation. Kate took my call and put me on hold to ask her supervisor about my options. They are sending me a replacement hardware package free of charge, even though it has been one full year. etrailer now has a customer for life… they have exceeded my expectations!
Even though e trailer said it would fit my truck what they failed too tell me is that because my truck is a ram 3500 HD, HD is the key that this hitch will not fit along the frame. Because the leaf spring shackles come down of the frame in a way that it blocks the hitch from sitting flush with the frame rail. SHipped back too them and hope i get a full refund. Otherwise, this thing is hefty and a beast , wished it fit.
This is a nice hitch. I wish it was made in the US, so that's a bummer. But the hitch has done well for the many thousands of miles (NM->FL->NM->WA) we've driven this year with our 13K lb travel trailer in tow. It has a little bit of rust where the paint has rubbed off but nothing severe. I'll probably sand and paint those spots soon.
What a great replacement hitch for the worn stock hitch on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins diesel. My 11,000 lb trailer rides much better now that all of the hardware is once again tight. Also, I frequently pull a 16 ft tandem axle car trailer with a vehicle on it.
I am very mechanically inclined however I was not comfortable loosening and lifting the truck bed to remove and replace the hitch. I had my local trailer repair shop perform the work.
I also had to purchase new hitch hardware as the receiver is a larger diameter than the original.
The hitch came fast, which is nice, but it is missing the installation guide and the mounting hardware.

Normally the hardware and instructions are located inside the receiver tube or taped to the outside of the hitch. I recommend checking your hitch being sure to remove all packing and tape material. If you do not find the items please let us know
Hitch is very good quality and very heavy duty.
Had to repaint the receiver portion of the hitch due to all damage it had in shipping.
Also was 2, 1/2" conical washers short in the hardware package.

Incredibly BEEFY! Strapped it to my ATV jack to lift into place. installation is straight forward. Definitely recommend getting 5/8” grade 8 bolts, nuts & washers to replace 1/2” factory bolts. The factory bolts have too much slop going thru the frame & hitch mounting holes.
Paint Will be scratched/chipped up, slightly when received, nothing a little spray paint can’t fix.
This hitch does not disappoint!
This hitch is a beast .install was easy only issue is make sure after removing the factory reciever you bolt the bed back down it covers the 2nd from the rear bed hold down bolts. I left my bolts out be cause the hitch would need to be removed to pull the bed off for fuel pump service .other then that this hitch is impressive!
Hitch seems to be quality. There are only 4 M14 nuts and 4 conical washers supplied. For my truck I needed 6 of ea. Will have to touch up paint on hitch(the only area missing paint is what you can see when looking at truck.) Two bolts behind tag needed to be longer and have washers. Also used shims under rear bed bolt where hitch previously was. ‘‘Tis should be addressed by draw Tite . Etrailer was great
Top quality hitch. Easy to install. All the holes align perfectly. I've used it for a year pulling a 28 foot rv trailer without any issues. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality hitch that will last.
