Does the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # DT45509 Fit a 2012 Ram 3500 HD?

Will the DT45509 fit a 2012 ram 3500 Heavy Duty 4X4? One review listed said it would not.

Yes, it will so long as you have a factory hitch. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # DT45509 is confirmed to fit the 2012 Ram 3500's with the factory hitch still installed. I checked with Draw-Tite and this hitch covers a wide range of models from 2003-2023. Their website says it will fit the 2012 3500 HD's but I recommended taking a look at the instructions. I have linked them below. It looks like this hitch requires quite a few specific modifications for each model year. I saw the review and it does not look like that customer followed the instructions. You will want to pay specific attention to the chassis spring mount location on the 3rd page if you're worried about the same issue.
