2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Class V Hitch to Replace OEM Hitch

Question:

Hello, I would like to install the Curt Class V hitch on my 2004 dodge ram 2500. It has the factory hitch which I will be removing prior to installing the new hitch. I want the new hitch to sit at the same height as the old hitch did. Which model number is correct 15809? Thanks!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15809 is designed to fit with the OEM hitch on your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. In fact, this is meant to fit under the OEM hitch so you wouldn't even need to remove it.

For something that will fit more in the range of where the OEM receiver sits you're going to want the Draw-Tite # DT45509 instead. Once installed the receiver will actually hug the bumper as you can see in the attached photo.
