Do you know if the information for trailer hitches that you have for a 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara is also good for a 2013.

The short answer is that the manufacturers usually will know and we update our fit guide as information comes in. For the 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara (not XL7), I found that Curt does list trailer hitch # C13001 as a fit so you can use it on your 2013.
It gets a little more tricky with adding wiring to a vehicle. None of the manufacturers currently list a compatible trailer wiring harness for the 2013. In these cases we recommend checking a dealership to determine if they have a wiring option if wiring is needed right away. Otherwise it is very likely that on such a popular vehicle that manufacturers will confirm a fit for it soon.
I do recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
