This Curt hitch receiver gives you a solid way to tow small trailers or mount racks and carriers without overcomplicating things. It’s rated for 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight, making it perfect for light-duty jobs like hauling a small camper, utility trailer, or bike rack setup. The round-tube design keeps it simple and sturdy while giving your vehicle a clean, finished look.
You don’t need a lift or specialty tools to get this hitch on. The bolt-on install uses factory holes—no welding required—and comes with a complete hardware kit and instructions. Even working from your driveway, you can take care of the install with basic hand tools and a torque wrench. Once it’s in place, it’s ready for towing or carrying gear right away.
Built from fully welded steel and finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer, this hitch stands up to rust and road wear. The coating not only protects against corrosion but also keeps the hitch looking sharp through every season.
The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening works with a wide range of light-duty towing accessories. Use it with the recommended ball mount for towing, hook up a small cargo tray for extra storage space, or attach a bike rack when you’re heading out to the trailhead. Whatever you connect, the Class I rating keeps things stable and secure for your next trip.

No problems at all with the hitch. Its easy to get my bike rack on and off the car and to mount and unmount my bike rack and is very secure. Carried 2 bikes on a 4000 mile road trip without any issues. The hitch is very unobtrusive when not in use. I would appreciate any other users feedback on the suitability of this hitch for a small trailer for hauling stuff from the DIY stores - i.e. Ball fittings and wiring harness extensions suitable for the HR-V

Yes! We did it! Thank you for the kind words. I can't help to notice your name and I am assuming you are in the Pacific Northwest. So beautiful! Have you been to St. Helens?

Its been a year since I installed the class I hitch on my Honda HRV. performs perfectly and the powder coat finish still looks great. last fall I bought another hitch from etrailer for my new Honda CRVa type II this time. Same experience. Very easy to install with the kit they provide, and the videos show everything you need to see. Very pleased with the product and support from these folks!

To John G.: I had the hitch installed on my 2016 HRV by a local shop that has a car-lift. The shop had to remove the plastic splash under-carriage panel to install the hitch and were not able to re-mount this panel after installing the hitch. I think because the access to the panels fittings being blocked by the hitch. Did you experience the same situation? I dont want to trash that plastic splash / under carriage panel until I know it definitely cannot be installed if the hitch is properly installed.

Thank you for your review. This is exactly what we suggest to people who have this problem. Changing the muffler hangers should do the trick.
