Remember when gauging your trailer's tongue weight was such a hassle? It often involved wrestling with bathroom scales, which were far from accurate, or making a trip to the weigh station, which took time and effort. Or you had to buy a separate scale. With a Weigh Safe Hitch, it's super-simple. Just hook up your trailer to the ball mount like you would with any other hitch. The moment you connect, the weight of your trailer pushes down on the hitch ball, automatically giving you a measurement on the easy-to-read gauge. It's quick, hassle-free, and takes the guesswork out of towing. Now you can focus on the road ahead instead of worrying about whether your load is balanced.
The Weigh Safe Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your needs.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe Built-In Scale Hitch with two stainless steel balls for your three-inch hitch receiver. Now, this ball mount is gonna be a great choice for you to consider if you're looking for a highly durable and easy-to-use hitch. This does feature a built-in scale. It's going to let you easily measure your tongue weight, and it's gonna help ensure better towing safety and performance. This is going to slide into your three-inch trailer hitch receiver and give you two stainless steel balls.
You're gonna receive a 2 5/16-inch and a two-inch ball, so you're gonna be able to tow trailers of different types. Now, this is going to be ideal for you if you tow large, heavy-duty trailers like those used for hauling commercial loads or heavy equipment or large recreational vehicles. And then when you have the shank in this orientation, you're gonna get a maximum drop of eight inches, when you flip it over, a maximum rise of nine inches with an incremental adjustment of one inch. So, this is gonna be very versatile for you for various towing setups, giving you that height adjustability that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. So, with the 2 5/16-inch hitch ball, you're gonna get a gross towing weight of 21,000 pounds, with the two-inch ball, it's gonna be 10,000 pounds, and this unit will give you a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds.
So, as I mentioned, this does feature a tongue weight scale that's going to help you balance your trailer. It's built right into the ball platform here. So, this is going to really allow you to have safer towing. The scale's gonna let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow. It's a simple operation, and this is going to automatically give you a measurement every time you couple your trailer.
So, this is going to be efficient, it's gonna be hassle-free, it's going to eliminate the need for you to get your bathroom scale out or go to commercial scales. This also features a dual-pin slider lock that's gonna make adjusting the height very simple. Lemme give you a brief demonstration here. So, I'm gonna remove this included rubber cap that protects the keyway there, insert one of the key here, and as you can see, that's gonna easily slide right out there. While I have this out, I just wanted to show you that this is constructed of durable aluminum.
Our pins are durable aluminum, the housing's aluminum, and then our lock itself is plated steel, so it's gonna do a great job of holding that ball platform in the shank, and you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion. But look how easily this slide's up and down. So, you're not gonna have any problem adjusting the height, trying to get that height that you need. Now, I wanna take the ball platform off here real quick and give you a view of the inside, and just to show you how easy this is going to be to swap out the ball. So, I currently have my 2 5/16-inch ball in place. I'm just gonna tip over and my retaining pin slides right out. Now, if this gets tight in there and it's not gonna slide right out, you can use that ring there, and that'll pull that pin right out. So, just lift this ball out of the platform, and I'm gonna swap it with my two-inch ball. You do wanna line up the holes here so that pin can go right through, and then let me take a look here, slide my pin back into place. Push that all the way in, and you want that ring in that cavity there, and then just place it back on the shank just like that, and you will be good to go. I will replace my slider lock here, line up the holes, lock it up. And so, I hope you get a feeling of just how smooth everything operates. Again, you're not gonna be at the back of your vehicle struggling to get the ball size or the height adjustment that you're looking for. I'm a little top-heavy here at the portion that goes into your trailer hitch receiver. Now, speaking of the portion that goes into your receiver, one of my favorite features of this setup is this does include a hitch pin lock. So, you are going to get four keys, and this is keyed alike, so one key is gonna operate the hitch pin lock and the dual-pin slider lock, so you're not gonna have to worry about having different sets of keys, and this is going to give you really maximum theft deterrent. So, not only is the ball platform going to be secured to the shank, but the entire unit will be secured to the back of your truck and the trailer hitch receiver with this hitch pin lock, so that's gonna be very easy to operate. So, this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability. This is a premium hitch, so this finish is a black Cerakote finish, and it's a ceramic coating that's gonna provide an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So, not only is this finish going to make this hitch look great on the back of your truck, but if you tow in harsh environments, such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is gonna help protect the hitch, keeping it looking great, and working properly for many years to come. Lemme give you some measurements. Measuring from the center of our our hitch ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole, we're sitting about 8 1/2 inches, moving over to the center of the second hitch pin hole, about 9 5/8 inches, and then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. So, this is going to be great if you demand reliability, safety and durability from your towing equipment, whether you're a seasoned RV owner or simply someone who toes all the time, this hitch is designed to give you precise tongue weight measurement, superior corrosion resistance, especially with our finish and flexible fitment. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
