Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Cam Action lockable door latch kit. This kit can either replace a door latch kit for you, or if you're adding a new door or something like that on your trailer, it can serve as a new kit. This is going to be ideal for your heavy duty side or rear doors on your large trailers. This is a stainless steel construction, so it's going to be very durable and long lasting. It's going to provide lots of stability for you as you're opening and closing, securing that trailer door. This is going to include three of these anti-rack keepers that can be bolted in place as well as these three anti-rack lugs that will weld onto your bar and allow you to make sure that door is going to stay closed.
You're also going to get two spacers and three of these top and bottom pipe retainers that will hold your pipe in place on your door. You're also going to get this 14 and a half inch long handle assembly and the hasp to allow that handle to be locked in place. Now, most of these components are going to bolt in place. So it's going to be very easy to get them installed. You will need a three quarter inch inner diameter schedule 40 pipe and mounting hardware to get these mounted in place. That that pipe is not included.
But you will need to weld your handle and your camming 00:01:48 lug ins onto that pipe in order for this assembly to work for you. You may already have that, if you're just replacing some of the components on your trailer, in which case you obviously wouldn't have to provide that yourself. You just use whatever component that you would need out of this kit. This is going to be very secure for you. And we've got a double action handle here that's going to ensure a simple, secure latch. We've got our handle keeper and hasp that will allow you to put a padlock through there to make sure that no one can open up your door, get into your trailer and take your stuff out.
This does also have a nice black vinyl grip on it to make it much easier and more comfortable to use. Even if you're out in the cold, you won't have to have that skin on bare metal feeling. The bridged hasp is going to help prevent any sort of accidental opening. Like I said, you can put a padlock there, that is sold separately. We are going to have three anti-rack keepers, so rather than just one on the top and one on the bottom, we're also going to have one here in the middle, that's going to provide additional grip on that pipe to make sure that we're going to have a nice secure closure of our door. It's going to stay nice and tight.
We're not going to have to worry about a lot of jostling or wiggling or anything like that. Our bolt holes, as you can see, are on the one side so that we can put our pipe as close to the edge of our door as we like, and we'll still be able to put that on rather than having bolt holes on both sides. So it is going to give us a lot of flexibility and options and still provide a lot of security for us as we're closing up our trailer door, wanting to make sure that that's going to be secured for us.So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
