Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here, @etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products hook and keeper for enclosed trailer. Now there's a lot of different configurations for this set out there. This one in particular is going to have a three and a half inch span. So, should if I flip this around the other way, that's going to be the right way.
That's going to keep our door just about three and a half inches from the side of our trailer, so it's going to help to keep that open, or loading things in and out of our trailer, and keep us from having to open that over and over having it come close on us or anything like that. It is made of just a plastic construction. It comes with a rubber bumper. This is actually more like a plastic bumper, to help protect the side of our trailer from opening too far.So you can either replace the hardware on one side of really either of these, to keep the door from hitting that, or you can place a little bit further. It does come with its own screws.
You're going to be a bit longer than the ones for the rest of your base. So, just depends on your configuration and how you want to mount that. We do also get all eight screws for other mounting positions. So, we'll have four per base. As far as the size, each side of this is going to be about three inches by one and a half inches.
The receiver, the part that receives a wand, is about inaudible 00:01:29 three or three quarters of an inch thick three quarters of an inch tall, however you want to think about it. And then the other side or a wand side, the base is about half an inch tall. So, it shouldn't take up too much space on our trailer. Our bumper, measures just about, one and five eights of an inch long, and about one and a quarter inch tall, and at the base it's about, nine sixteenths or excuse me, about 11 sixteenths inches wide. The distance between the mounting holes, there is about an inch, which is going to match with, both of our bases. It's about an inch, center to center for our mounting holes going that way.
If we turn it to the side, it is about two and a quarter inches between the mounting holes going the long way. This is backed by a limited lifetime warranty or a lifetime warranty from JR Products. Again, this does come in a lot of different configurations. You can also find this in black for the same length of a span there, but it won't come with the bumper, you'd have to purchase that separately, if you wanted to go with the black version. We also have a lot of different lengths and other things as well. So definitely check those out right here, @etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
