Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the T hook and keeper. This is going to be a nice little device to help keep our door open on our enclosed trailer or RV, or really anywhere that you need, you have a door to hold open that way when you're loading things into your vehicle or the area that you're putting stuff in, and you don't have to have somebody hold the door, or you don't have to find something to prop it up against or go through any kind of scenarios like that. So it's going to make life a little bit easier, especially as we're loading things in and out. We don't have to worry about that door coming close and smacking us in the face or just having to open it and fumble around with all our things. So it's just going to be this simple plastic construction, even though it's plastic, it's still going to be pretty structurally sound. So I don't think it's...
It doesn't feel too cheap. It feels nice and thick. So it should last for a long time. Of course, if somebody really whacks it, it's probably going to crack, but that's as maybe. As far as getting this installed, it's just going to have the arm to go between our rounded bracket and the T bracket.
So you want to fish this guy up through there. So the ball sits in that round socket and then the little spacer is going to help to keep that up. So the arm can fully rest there in the slot. And then the other side goes on our door, most likely. You can really put it anywhere you want.
And then that's going to slide in there. So as our door comes over that, and we can slide that in place. It's going to help to keep it open. There's a four inch span between these. So if you have something in the way like a handle or a lock, or your door only comes four inches to the side of your camper, this should work out well for you. It comes with the hardware needed to get this installed.
As far as the size, as I said, the hook length four inches long, our brackets are going to be the same. It's going to be three inches long by one and a quarter inch wide. And then one and three quarter inches tall. Same for both, the distance between the mounting holes, center to center is an inch and then two and three eights inches. This does have a lifetime warranty from JR products. And that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the T style hook and keeper door holder for your enclosed trailer. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right piece for you. If not, we do have others available here at etrailer.com, including ones with longer arms, metal construction, all kinds of stuff. So if you want to check those out, please do so here at etrailer.com and we'll see you next time. Thanks for watching.
