Taller Roof Rack Solution for Top of Tear Trailer

Question:

THANKS so much, Jameson — this appears to be my solution! I do have an additional question, and hope this is OK, in lieu of a phone call: The description states: “This ladder rack requires that your trailer have rain gutters for proper installation.” My teardrop doesn’t have rain gutters, per se — enclosed picture shows the edge/roof moulding. Please advise if this prevents proper installation.

The best option we have for a roof rack that would have crossbars 10-12 inches above the roof of the trailer would be with the Rack Em Trailer Ladder Rack part # RA-28 which was designed for enclosed trailers but has the taller towers/feet. There might be some modification required.

The rack does require rain gutters but I do have a solution for your camper that is currently missing them. You can install a set of artificial rain gutters with the Rhino Rack Artificial Rain Gutters # 739A to provide what you would need for the rack to install. Your picture did not make it through though.
