Hello, neighbor. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking together at an Erickson Soft Shackle. It's a 3/8 inch thick synthetic rope rated at 7,920 pounds of working load limit. Now, folks, this is a 20-inch long rope shackle, so what it's gonna do is it's gonna replace the steel shackle or D-ring. You simply slide this part through itself to loosen it up.
That gives you the length here that you're looking at. And then again, you can slide this through the end of maybe a kinetic rope or something of that nature, and then cinch it back down. And now you're ready to safely pull that. And also, you can grab that knob there, if you will, and pull it. As you can see, it's been super, super coated and wrapped and everything to be nice and solid and sturdy, and it's not gonna rust, corrode, or anything.
It does actually float in water. There's no pins to worry about. And it uses a UHMWPE synthetic rope, which is actually stronger than steel but lightweight, and it's a lot safer to use as well. So again, use this as connecting link between your rope hook, even a tree saver strap, any kind of strap you want. Just know that it's not used for lifting.
Again, it's not made for lifting. It's only made for pulling straight and stuff like that. Now, it does have a max load break strength of 39,600 pounds. But again, a working load limit of 7,920 pounds. This is the Erickson Soft Shackle.
Once again, simply loosen that up, that eyelet there, pull it out, have it however you need it. And that's gonna wrap it up, folks, for our look at this soft shackle. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for watching.
