When you need to grab something from the bed without taking the whole cover off, the tri-fold design makes it easy. You can lift the rear panel by the tailgate for quick access or fold up the rear and center panels to open two-thirds of the bed. It’s a simple setup that works great when you’re hauling gear but still want to keep most of the bed covered.
Installing some covers can turn into a project, but this one is ready to go right out of the box. The attachment hardware is built into the cover, so there are no separate clamps or bolts to keep track of. The spring-loaded clamps make it easy to secure at the tailgate, and when you want the bed completely open, the whole cover comes off without tools or rails left behind.
Keeping cargo dry is always a concern, especially when the weather turns bad. The full perimeter rubber seal blocks rain and dust from sneaking into the bed. Combined with the snug vinyl top, it keeps the inside cleaner and drier so your gear stays protected through storms and car washes.
The E-Series uses a lightweight aluminum frame with heavy-duty support bows that run across the width of the bed for extra strength. It’s sturdy enough to handle daily use but light enough to lift and remove easily when you need the full bed for bigger loads.
This cover sits neatly on top of the bed rails, giving the truck a clean, finished appearance without adding bulk. The smooth vinyl grain finish complements the truck’s lines while helping to cut down wind drag for a more aerodynamic ride.

2 years in the cover still looks and fits great. No visable signs of wear. Great product.

That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
