When you need to grab gear without taking off the whole cover, the tri-fold setup makes it simple. Just lift the rear panel at the tailgate for smaller items or fold back the rear and center panels to open up two-thirds of your bed. The lightweight aluminum frame and built-in support bows keep everything sturdy while still being easy to handle on your own.
Rain and dust can sneak into uncovered beds, but the full perimeter rubber seal keeps the elements out. Once the tailgate is closed and locked, the spring-loaded clamps hold the cover tight against the bed rails, sealing out water and road grime so your cargo stays clean and dry.
Installation doesn’t get much easier. The attachment hardware is built right into the cover—no loose bolts, rails, or separate clamps to track down. Set it in place, tighten the spring-loaded clamps, and you’re done. Removing it is just as fast when you need the full bed.
Some soft covers can sag or stretch over time, but this one uses a durable vinyl top supported by a rigid aluminum frame. The heavy-duty support bows span the width of the bed to keep tension where it belongs, even through heat, rain, or snow. The aerodynamic shape also helps reduce wind drag when driving.
When it’s time to haul larger loads, you can take the entire cover off in minutes. No rails remain on the bed, so you have a clean slate for big cargo. Whether you’re hauling gear for work or weekend trips, it gives you the best of both worlds—protection when you need it and full access when you don’t.

2 years in the cover still looks and fits great. No visable signs of wear. Great product.

That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
