Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com Today, we're gonna take a look at this UWS 63" long Aluminum Crossover-Style Gull-Wing Series Truck Bed Toolbox. This one you can see is a bright diamond-tread finish. Now, this is a crossover-style box. It's designed to hang from the truck bed rails, right behind your truck cab. Basically, the top of the box, when it's installed it's gonna sit about 4" above your truck bed rails. They do use a .058 extra thick one-piece aluminum box here.

This will hold the heavy tools in cargo. The aluminum construction is very lightweight. Uses fully welded seams to guarantee for not to rust. And this does feature two single lids for convenient half-box access. So with this, you can just push, pull-up your handle, and the lid will open on this side.

And on this side over here, same way, just pull-up on your handle. And I'm gonna put on this side. So basically it gives you a dual-locking Gull-wing-style lids. That'll let you open the box from either the driver's side or the passenger side, without having to just climb into your truck bed to access any small or medium size tools. So you can just open what side you need to.

And then you need just close it. Now, this does use a patented rigid core foam-fill lid. It provides strength and insulation. It is a structural foam, so it does reinforce the shape and the strength of the lid. And if you notice on the inside of the lid right around the edges here.

They use a dust barrier foam-seal, and this is to help protect contents from the elements. So it keeps anything from the outside getting in on your tools, that are stored in the box. If you notice they have the heavy-duty gas cylinders here. There's one on this lid and one on the other one. And that's designed to help lift the lid. And as you can see, it holds it in the open position. So when you go to close the lid, and then again when you open the handle and then you go to lift it, and that helps you lift the lid also. And at the very bottom, this lid is connected to the toolbox using a Piano hinge. And a piano hinge is designed to run the full length of it. And that'll give you a lot stronger and extra support for the lid. And I did wanna just zoom in, talk about the stainless steel latches over here. These are stainless steel latches with locks. There's one on this side and one on the other side. The locks does come with two keys. So basically right now, if you close your lid, and you can see that you open it by just pulling up on this handle. That'll release it and then it'll open. And then to lock it, all you have to do is take your key, it comes with the two. Put your key in there, turn it a 1/4 of a turn and then remove your key. And that'll prevent that handle from opening. And since the handle won't open, the lock will stay, or the lid will stay locked. And then again, when you need to get into it just put your key back in, turn it a 1/4 of a turn, that'll release the handle, to open your lid. Now on the inside, the inside will give you this fully open, all the way from this side, all the way to the other side. So if you have anything that's long, it will fit in here. Also has this nice sliding plastic re-compartment tray. To keep any small items in your tray, in the same way the tray will go the whole length. Now this is a J-bolt Installation Hardware. In other words, to install it it gives you the J-bolt installation hardware, right here. You can see the two J-bolts, it gives you the seals. So when you go to put this on your truck bed it will sit on the rails. You wanna put your seals down, so it doesn't damage your truck bed rails. And then it has a J-hook here, and on the inside there'll be a slot right here, that'll hold this in place. Now, this part is made in the USA. And I do wanna give you some dimensions on this box. We'll first do the exterior dimensions. So in other words, with the lids closed. The very top of the box will be your longest part. So it's gonna be about 63-7/8" long. The depth again, at the top including the lid is 20" deep. And the overall height, which will be measured from the bottom here to the top of the lid is 14-3/4" inches. The interior dimension, which will basically be this bottom section, that sits in the truck bed. It is gonna have a length of 53". A depth of about 17", and a total height right here of about 9" tall.
