Today we're going to be taking a look at part #PK52248. This is the Pollak 10-Terminal Junction Box. This junction box is going to provide a quick and easy way for you to connect the trailer plug to your trailer wiring. The box is also going to make it very simple and easy for your trailer connector to be easily replaced. It's going to feature a nice black durable ABS plastic construction. Here on the inside, it's going to contain 10 terminals. These are going to be size 10 or .190 of an inch terminals.
It's got a nice little lid that goes over the top for a secure connection. It's going to come with the four bolts that goes in the four holes right here to connect the lid to the actual box. Let's go ahead and go over some measurements real quick. Now, the length of the box, not including the mounting tabs, is going to give us a measurement of 7 1/2 inches. The width of the box is going to give us a measurement of 3 3/4 of an inch. Then the height of the box is going to give us a measurement of 2 1/2 inches tall.
The mounting holes on this box are going to be separated center-on-center going this direction by 8 1/8 of an inch. Going this direction, those mounting holes are going to be separated, it looks to be, by 3 3/16 of an inch. You can see everything that it comes with here on the table. It's going to come with the nuts that are going to attach our ring terminals to each of the terminals located here in the junction box. That's what these 10 are over here. It's going to come with the four bolts to attach the lid to the actual box.
It's going to come with these four nuts, as well. Those are going to be designed to go on the backside of a bolt when installing this to your mounting location. Those bolts are going to be sold separately. You may already have those, and you may just want to use your existing bolts if you're just replacing the box. If you don't have some, you can, simply, pick some up at a hardware store, and you can use the included nuts right here. It's going to come with these grommets.
Four of the grommets are going to have the open design. Those are going to be what slides into this portion right here. You're going to have two slots on this side, two slots on this side, and two slots in the front. It's going to allow plenty of room for your wires to go through into the junction box, but it's also going to help in assisting keeping out any dirt or grime from getting in here and causing any type of damage or corrosion to the connection points themselves. You're also going to get two grommets that are solid. Now, these are going to allow you to cover up the slots that you don't want to use. That way nothing gets in there. If you want a tighter connection, if these holes are too big for your wiring, you can just make a little slit in there and use it for that function, as well. It's a really nice design. Again, durable ABS construction. It's going to come with a lock nut for each terminal, grommets, open and closed, to protect the connection points by keeping out dirt and grime. It's going to come with the bolts to get the lid attached. That's going to do it for our review of part #PK52248. This is the Pollak 10-Terminal Junction Box. .
