Features to know about

Built to Handle Real Loads: 1,650-lb Capacity Steel Wheel

This 10" x 6" galvanized steel wheel is built for strength and highway dependability. It’s rated for 1,650 lbs and meets Department of Transportation standards, so it’s ready for heavy-duty hauling without compromise. The sturdy construction gives peace of mind when carrying weight day after day.

Fights Rust and Corrosion: Galvanized Steel Protection

If you deal with water or humid conditions, this wheel’s galvanized finish keeps it looking clean and solid. The zinc coating shields against rust and corrosion, so it holds up season after season where painted wheels would start to fade and flake.

Straightforward Fitment Every Time: 4 on 4 Bolt Pattern with 2.5" Pilot

Getting the right fit is simple with a standard 4 on 4" bolt pattern, 1/2"-20 wheel bolts, and a 2.5" pilot diameter. The offset is 0, giving a balanced stance and proper hub alignment. It’s a reliable setup that mounts easily and fits true.

Confidence in Every Mile: DOT-Compliant Quality

Every part of this wheel is designed and tested to meet DOT specifications. That means dependable performance on the road—no guesswork or shortcuts, just a well-built wheel that stays true under load.

Ready for Real-World Use: Clean Look, Solid Foundation

The smooth galvanized finish gives a professional look while keeping maintenance simple. Whether it’s under a fresh coat of spray or left bare metal silver, it’s the kind of wheel that adds durability and polish in one go.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Steel Trailer Wheel

Today we're going to take a look at the 10 inch by 6 inch Americana galvanized solid center steel trailer wheel with the 414 inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction, does use a galvanized finish to help provide superior protection from rust and corrosion and the galvanized finish wheels we're usually used in Marine applications where the trailer might be in and out of the water a lot. This is a high quality wheel, does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications.A few specs on this. We're going to measure the diameter and the width. When we measure the diameter, what you're measuring is the inside to inside. Basically when a tire is mounted on this wheel, the tire beads will seat right here.

So what you're measuring is bead seat to bead seat. So if we take our tape measure and we go bead seat to bead seat, there's your 10 inch diameter. The width will be the same way inside the inside or bead seat to bead seat. It's a six inch wide. Wheel bolt pattern on this wheel is a four on four inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure that on a wheel like this, that's an even number of lugs, in this case four.

It's pretty easy because the holes are right across from each other. So to measure the bolt pattern, you just pick one of the holes, let's say this one, measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this wheel it'll measure four inches, so it's a four lug, four inch bolt pattern. Does use the wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. Pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, diameter on that opening is 2.5 inches.

And the weight capacity on this wheel is 1,650 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the 10 inch by 6 inch Americana galvanized solid center steel trailer wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern.

Used only a couple times to trailer snowmobiles in very salty conditions and the rims still look great. Hope El Nino is gone and I get to use these rims a lot more this year

by:

Bought 2 galvanized steel tire rims for my snowmobile trailer,am completely happy with them

by:

Wheels look great and are holding air with new tires. had a old problem with some aluminum rims not holding air and these are doing the job great

by:

The wheels arrived in a condition that required sanding of the galvanized "slag" to be smoothened out in order for the tires to seat (not leak air) This was in the manufacturing process was the product was being removed from the dip. Disappointing but workable.

by:

Good quick service If who ever makes your wheels would center up the center piece of the 7" wheel they would fit more trailers because the deeper dish wheels hit the springs

by:

The rims I bought are better quality than most! The galvanized finish is so much better than the painted ones. The tire and rim combo I also bought are a really good value as well. The only problem I have is about back spacing. My old rims have an off-set of 1.5 and the new ones are centered. So the new galvanized rims don't fit because they hit the inner surface, I also have not seen anything on the web site about back spacing either.

by:

These rims are of VERY POOR QUALITY!! The "so called" galvanizing is very poor and in my opinion it looks as if they are doing this to used rims. I installed my tires on the rims and 2 out of the 4 were bent. I contacted e-trailer and they contacted their supplier, just to hear them say that they are all like this and that's just how they are. So this is what the consumer has to look forward to...I would never purchase these again and neither should you.

by:

I recently ordered tires, went to put them on and the old rims were bad in a few spots. Called etrailers up to see about returning them and ordering rims/tires. I talked to Kayla, she helped price out options/ returns compared to just ordering the rims. Within a few minutes we agreed easier to just order the new rims. Im very pleased with all my experiences with etrailer, the customer service was awesome; definitely will keep ordering through them.

by:

Great wheels. Galvanized finish for excellent corrosion resistance. They make the trailer look way better than with the rusted, painted wheels I took off.

by:

These are nice straight/true thick rims. Packaging was perfect! I did have to wait a few extra days for a restock of the rims but no biggie. They were shipped out as soon as they came in and my previous orders from etrailer were all in stock. Just an fyi, the image of this rim makes it looks like a hot-dipped galvanized rim due to the duller color. No way you'd get a hot-dipped process for for the listed price. Watch the associated video or look at the 5 on 4-1/2 rims for a better representation. The finish is more like a shiny galvanized paint. It is a thick coat, and you'll see runoff points, but it seems well protected. I covered mine (after cleaning) with some cold galvanized spray paint so it would match my restored trailer that was also sprayed. The duller topcoat made any paint drips less noticeable. I bought the rims separate from the tires so I could install my own metal valve stems. I'm glad etrailer gives me that option. This was my third order from etrailer. All the personnel are so helpful and feedback is immediate. I couldn't find any other trailer site with such detailed information on their products and such great service! Three separate orders for me so far. I'm sure there will be more.

by:

I recently purchased a used pontoon that needed tires. After some research, I decided a 10 ply tire or load range E (LRE) would be best. Etrailer.com had the best price and they also offered free shipping on orders over $100. The tires look great and shipping was very fast. I will be getting all of my future trailer supplies from etrailer.com

by:

Great rim for the price. I only use the rims to run my boat dolly on it's 2x4 track. Been using it for about 30 years hauling out a 26' to my current 16'. saved me alot of money.

by:

This product was very good and the knowledge of the person who waited on me (Carla M) was really great and knowing her job. Every thing I bought fit and got me on the road quick. Thanks.

by:

Awesome heavy duty rim.

by:

Thanks for a good product on etrailer.c om

by:

Great looking wheel. Appears to be made of good quality! Fats shipping.

by:

Galvanized coating dripped through two of finished lug bolt holes. I scrapped it off before installing on the trailer. I would rate fit and finish of these rims to be "fair".

by:

I mean, it’s just a rim, but it seems solidly made and well galvanized. Price is very fair. I plan on buying more of the 4 hole variety for my other trailer.

by:

just what we needed. thank you

by:

I was a bit disappointed at first that this wheel doesn't have a raised lip in the bead area, but my tire seated up no problem and is holding it just fine. Great value, quality looks really good!

by:

good inventory and fast shipping

by:

great product, amazing pricing and had quick free shipping.

  • How to Measure Bolt Pattern to Replace Trailer Wheels on a 1986 Tracker Party Barge Trailer
The modern equivalent to a 20.5x8-10 is going to be a 205/65-10. The bolt pattern is either going to be 4 on 4 inch or 5 on 4-1/2 inch. So if it requires 4 bolts then you likely have a 4 on 4 pattern. If it is 5 bolts then it is likely 5 on 4-1/2. To be sure you can use the help article I have linked that explains how to measure for bolt pattern. For 10x6 inch wheels we have a few options. For a 4 on 4 bolt pattern we have white steel wheel # AM20041. For a galvanized version we have #...

The best option we can offer for a spare wheel is the Steel Trailer Wheel part # AM20043 which is a 10" x 6" with 4 on 4" bolt pattern. It will work with a 20.5x8-10 tire as well. Please note, measuring a wheel will need to be done from inside the bead seat, not lip to lip which is where many people measure and get inaccurate figures.

  • Are Tire/Wheel Combos Available With 2-1/2 Inch Pilot
All of the 205/65-10 tire/wheel combos we carry have a pilot of 2-5/8 inch. The pilot hole will only matter if the wheel is secured to the hub with bolts instead of lug nuts. If that is the case then it has to be exact. If it does attach with lug nuts the pilot hole cannot be smaller than the hub it is going on but it can be larger. If you are using lug nuts and have a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern I recommend part # AM3H400. This has a galvanized steel wheel with a 205/65-10 bias-ply tire...
