When you need serious weight capacity and highway reliability, this tire-and-wheel assembly delivers. The Provider 215/75R17.5 radial tire carries up to 4,805 lbs at 123 psi in single use or 4,540 lbs in dual setups, and it’s rated for sustained speeds up to 81 mph (speed rating M). It’s built with double steel belts, double polyester cords, and nylon tread overlays to help prevent tread separation and heat buildup during long hauls.
This setup is designed for flexibility in dual-wheel positions. The ±5.59" offset allows it to serve as either the inner or outer wheel in a dual arrangement, keeping spacing correct for load distribution and smooth tracking. The hub-piloted steel wheel requires flange nuts (sold separately) and centers on the hub for accurate, stable mounting every time.
Long-term durability starts with the finish. The steel wheel goes through a zinc phosphate bath, an e-coat primer, and a baked-on DuPont white powder coat on both sides. This process helps protect against corrosion from road grime, moisture, and salt exposure while keeping the wheel looking clean and sharp over time.
Provider radials are bake tested to ensure the rubber holds over time—a step often reserved for automotive tires. The radial ply design reduces rolling resistance and heat on the highway, giving better tread life and steering stability under heavy loads. The assembly meets DOT specifications and exceeds FMVSS standards, so it’s ready for dependable use mile after mile.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this provider. 215, 75R, 17.5 load range H radial tire with this 17 and a half inch white steel dual wheel. Now this tire has sturdy sidewall so that it can handle heavy loads and this assembly is created specifically for trailers and it's not intended for use on other vehicles. As you know, radial tires. Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway and this radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for a long life.
This tire does have nylon tread firming belt overlays to help prevent tread separation. The tread def bars and you see some here, and you'll see 'em every so often as you're going down the tire, those tread depth bars are going to give you a quick visual indicator of tread wear and the tread is actually going to be re-groovable for additional mileage. Now, federal and state laws may apply and then this tire has been bake tested to ensure that the rubber holds up over time. Now as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is a 215, 75R, 17.5 and the section width is 8.31 inches. And the outer diameter, when fully inflated, is 30.2 inches.
This is a load range H, meaning it has a 16 ply rating and the maximum load single is 4,805 pounds at 123 PSI. And then the maximum load dual is 4,540 pounds, again at 123 PSI. This tire has a speed rating of M indicating a maximum speed of 81 miles per hour and this heavy duty white steel wheel with four handholds and you can see those handholds better when I turn this around, we have 1, 2, 3, 4, those handholds. This wheel is designed to be used in dual wheel setups and this wheel does have a high offset, so it allows for the wheel to be used as either an inner wheel in this orientation or an outer wheel in this orientation on a dual wheel setup. The offset is either a positive or a negative 5.59 inches and this steel wheel is corrosion-resistant.
It actually went through a three step finishing process, including a zinc phosphate bath, an e-coat primer, and then a white powder coat on both sides of the wheel, inner and outer. And the center disc is spun-formed from fine grain steel and then welded into place for strength and durability. Now as you probably know, this is a hub-piloted wheel, which means it will center on the hub of your axle, not on the lugs, and the pilot hole diameter is 8.7 inches. And this does require the use of flange nuts for installation. We do sell those separately on our website and this does use a wheel lug size of five eighths of an inch by 18 flange nut.
You probably already saw, but this does include a brass metal valve stem that's already installed here. And the dimensions of our wheel, looking at the diameter, measuring bead seat to bead seat where the tire actually meets the wheel, we're sitting at 17 and a half inches in diameter and then the width of our wheel is going to be six and three quarters inches. Again, that's gonna be measuring bead seat to bead seat. The capacity of our wheel is 6,200 pounds. This has a bolt pattern of eight on 275 millimeter. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the diameter in millimeters of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. This assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications, and I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

Everything taken care of as promised
Great tires, will order again. Service and delivery excellent!!
Taping some foam to the wheel mounting surface would do wonders to keep from having to paint brand new wheels that had the paint scratched off.
Good product! Fast shipping
Fast shipping. Great price. Will buy ag ain
True to form order seems to always make it here even if it is out of stock.
Great rim and tire
The tires and wheels were delivered in less time than quoted ! Overall completely satisfied!!
It took a while to receive my order which is the new normal, I was impressed by the regular updates I received of the status of my order. I understand you can’t ship something you haven’t received, but the updates made it seem more personal for a online order. Thanks
Shipping was fast!!!!! Love how much thicker the material is on these wheels. I bought these to replace some ebay wheels that keep leaking on the welds. So far so good. [Thumbs Up]
Great product and fast shipping. Although it came with a half metal, half rubber valve stem and I have found that it’s neccessary to have a full metal valve stem with a 110psi tire and the temperatures they can reach.
I haven't installed the wheels and tires on my trailer axles yet. I like what I received they work as good as they look I'll be well satisfied.
When I found your web page I was a little skeptical, the pricing on the tires and rims was good but I figured the shipping would kill us getting 8 tires and rims to Alaska. I was wrong, it was way less than I figured. I will definitely order from you folks again!
Thanks, you saved us a lot from what it would cost us up here.
Excellent set of wheels and rubber.
Also I converted electric brakes (all four) to server motor powered hydraulic (caliper). They operate in either forward or reverse.
Rather impressive.
I had a double blow out and one of my rims cracked. So I ordered these and they look great. I plan on installing them on my gooseneck this weekend. The four lighted 7 way plugs are awesome. I am slowly changing all 15 of my trailers over to these plugs. In the daytime it's hard to tell if everything is working or that a fuse hasn't blown, so these lighted plugs help you trust your connection. Thanks for the great pricing and prompt shipping.
as described and expected
Received the tires in 5 day and they bolted right on to my 10 ton trailer, these are some good looking tires!
Was exactly as stated and was shipped immediately. Ordering was an easy process
Fast delivery amd exactly as described
Just what I expected from etrailer
Perfect!
Great quality fast shipping and extremely easy to work with!!!!!
Tire and wheel combo fit perfect. Workmanship on the wheel was better than the factory wheel I was replacing. The tire looks to be a heavy duty tire but only time will tell. This tire and wheel combo was installed on a 2017 Trailmax TD40T Tilt Trailer. etrailer has a lot of great info and there prices where the best I could find. The best part was that the tire wheel combo showed up in 2 days, that is some quick shipping.
