Video Transcript for Ultimate Overview of the InfiniteRule Lock for Gen-Y Hitch SnapLatches

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this InfiniteRule lock for your Gen Y hitch SnapLatch. Now this flush style lock is going to fit your Gen Y hitch executive fifth wheel to gooseneck pin box or Spartan go gooseneck coupler with SnapLatch. And this is going to give you a convenient one key operation. As you can see here on my table, two keys are included with this, and then you'll also get this weather resistant tethered dust cap that's going to keep water and debris out of that keyway. Now lemme go ahead and just give you a brief demonstration of how you're going to use this.

So obviously I have this locked right now. I'm going to insert one of the keys here and I'm gonna turn this counter-clockwise, kind of like I'm unscrewing a bolt, and just keep turning that until this comes loose, just like that. So that is going to allow you to pull this apart to unlock it. I did want to point out here that this internal O-ring is going to protect the internal components from dirt and grime and the diameter of our pin is a quarter of an inch. And then to then lock this, I'll just connect this and then I'm going to start turning that key in a clockwise position.

And so I'm gonna wait till that's tight and then hopefully lemme come around the table here just so I can see as well. You can hopefully see these hash marks here around the ring. And what you're gonna do is once you have this tight enough, you're just going to back off to the nearest hash mark. And so I'm backing off to the one that's right here at the 12 o'clock position and then that's going to allow me to remove the key. So that's how easy this is going to be to use.

These are made here in the USA of a very heavy duty stainless steel construction, so you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion or rust. And in case you don't know, InfiniteRule products undergo extensive third party testing to determine sheer strength. The sheer strength is determined by placing the locking pin in a stress position and subjecting it to increasing force until a required proof load or the maximum force received without the deformity is met or the pin fails. So looking at the overall length, we're sitting right at about three and nine 16 inches long. And then the inside pin length or span the usable length of that pin, lining that up, we're sitting really close to two and one eighth inches inside the inside there.
