Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the Fulton Grease Cap

Today we're going to take a look at the Fulton drive-in grease cap with the 2.333 outer diameter. This grease cap will tap onto the end of your hub on your axle. It protects your wheel bearings from any dirt or debris getting in there that would destroy your bearings. It's a 16-gauge steel construction. It has a nice corrosion resistant zinc plating over the whole cap. Again, this grease cap is designed to fit in trailer hubs with the 2.333 inner diameter. It is a drive-in installation.

You can see right here the flange portion you put onto the hub, and then tap it in until it seats against the ridge of the cap right there. This is for a quantity of one. A few dimensions on this - the flange diameter, which is measured edge-to-edge, is going to be right at 2.333 inches. The flange length, which is this portion that would go into the hub, is going to be right at 0.37 inches, and then the overall height from the very bottom to the top of the dome is going to be right at 1.28 inches. That should do it for the review on the Fulton drive-in grease cap with the 2.333 outer diameter.

  • Solution for Grease Cap With 2.162" Hub Bore ID
Hey Oscar! That is a solution but you should probably avoid it if possible. Since grease caps are drive in have you tried a slightly larger size? The # F001601 at 2.333" would be the next size up we have but if you can find something closer that would be better. If it is just slightly larger you can try to force it in. You can try the sealant but you really hate to have it fall off if that doesn't work. Have you considered swapping out the hub for one that will use common part sizes? That...

  • Dust Cap Option For A Hub Bore Of 2.325 Inches
Hi Gregory! We have a few that are very close with the Fulton Grease Cap - 2.333" Outer Diameter - Drive In # F001601 and TruRyde Zinc Plated Grease Cap - 2.333" Outer Diameter - 1.00" Tall - Drive In # TRDC-233, but none that are exactly 2.325". They should fit, but will be some work driving them in. Are these by chance a Vortex hub? We do also have the Replacement Grease Caps for Dexter/Tie Down Engineering Vortex Trailer Hubs # DX66UR, but they are threaded and quite a bit different...

  • Determining Which Grease Cap Fits Haul Master 4' x 8' Trailer
I would be happy to help you find the correct grease cap for your Haul Master 4' x 8' trailer but unfortunately we do not have a a breakdown of the parts you specific trailer uses. You will need to use digital calipers like # PTW80157 to measure the hub bore of your trailer's hub to determine the correct grease cap as shown in the included diagram. For example the Fulton Grease Cap - 2.333" Outer Diameter - Drive In # F001601 fits hubs that have a hub bore of 2.333" and is the next largest...

  • Grease Caps and Light Parts for 2004 Mac-Lander 16T FSWS Utility Trailer
We can help you with grease caps and light parts for your trailer. To select correct grease caps you will need to measure the inside bore of your hubs using a precision digital caliper like # PTW80157. These dimensions need to be very precise, such as 2.30-inches as an example. The simply select the size to match, such as # F001601, using the grease cap page I linked for you. For the lights we offer both lenses only and complete trailer lights of all kinds. Links to both types of items...

  • Replacement Dust Cap for Hub with 2.312 Inch Opening
I have a solution for you, but it's unlikely that you're going to be able to use the # RG04-080 because of the difference in size. If you don't have EZ lube axles, you could use the Fulton Grease Cap # F001601 which has a diameter of 2.33" and would be a much closer fit for your trailer-in fact, if you look through some of the reviews there are some Ranger boat owners who've said this was a match for their trailer. This is a zinc plated steel grease cap that will provide good corrosion...

  • Grease Cap for a Concrete Mixer with Inner Diameter of 2.375
The closest grease cap we offer to the dimension you listed that is designed for a trailer hub would be the # F001601, this is designed for a 2.333 inner diameter hub so it might be a little small. It is a press on style that does not have a rubber seal though. Since this is designed for trailer hubs I can't safely guarantee that it would work for you.

  • Replacement Dust Cap/Grease Cap For Older Boat Trailer With Cap Measuring 2.312 Inches
For your boat trailer I recommend the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 2328 - Chrome Plated (Pair) # BB2328. These are designed to have extra grease and keep water out of your hubs so they can be completely submerged. If you are looking for a standard grease cap, the closest we have to your 2.312 measurement is the Fulton Grease Cap - 2.333" Outer Diameter - Drive In # F001601 which should work.
