A smooth ride depends on even suspension movement between axles. The 10-1/8" long swan-shaped equalizers in this kit balance the load and help keep both axles working together. That steady motion reduces bounce and sway so the trailer tracks straight and rides level, mile after mile.
The hanger heights in this kit are made to set correct geometry for 2" wide slipper springs on tandem setups. You get two 5" tall front hangers, two 4-1/2" tall center hangers, and two 6-3/8" tall rear hangers. They’re designed to be welded to the frame for a solid, permanent mount that keeps suspension points locked in place and aligned.
Each connection point matters, and this kit includes the right hardware for a secure install. You get 7/8" diameter wet bolts for the equalizers, 9/16" diameter shackle bolts, and matching locknuts for each. The wet bolts let you add grease through the zerk fitting, cutting friction and wear on moving parts while keeping the suspension quiet and tight.
Designed for serious use, this setup works with tandem axles rated from 3,500 lbs up to 8,000 lbs and needs 33" between axles. That range gives it the strength and flexibility to handle heavy, long-haul, or off-pavement conditions while keeping the trailer’s suspension geometry right where it should be.

Well made, good weld beads, but some of the spring perches could have used more weld. I added more in myself and am satisfied with it now.

These hangers work great. I upgraded axles on a trailer, and needed these to complete the upgrade. Etrailer has always been a great vendor, and the first place I go for trailer parts.
It has been almost a year before we got the hangar kit installed on an old trailer. I don't weld very good so had to wait for my son to get time to come up and put them in. They worked perfectly on the stretched 7k axles we put on in place of the 3.5k axles that were on the trailer originally. Once we got wheels and tires to fit, we loaded a tractor with a loader on the trailer and everything worked like it should. We have been very happy with the service from etrailer, having purchased a couple sets of hanger kits, equalizer bolts, trailer hitch and other trailer items. Very happy with their timeliness in getting our orders shipped out!
