Upgrading from old bulbs instantly pays off with this 4-5/16" round LED tail light. It uses 7 LEDs that fire up bright through an amber lens, giving you clear parking and turn signals that stand out. At 12.8 volts, it only draws 0.234 amps for turn signals and just 0.033 amps for parking lights, so it’s easier on your electrical system and won’t dim your other lights. LEDs are more efficient and durable than incandescent bulbs, which means you won’t be replacing this one anytime soon.
If you deal with rain, washdowns, or even ramp launches, this light is built for it. The housing and lens are fully sealed and waterproof, keeping moisture out so the electronics stay protected. You can count on it to hold up whether it’s on a road trailer or something that sees a lot of spray and splash.
Getting a solid, clean install is simple. This light fits into a 4-1/2" diameter hole and mounts recessed using a grommet (A45GB – sold separately). That keeps the light neatly tucked in with no awkward protrusion. If cutting isn’t an option, there’s also an optional mounting bracket (BK45BB – sold separately) that still works with the same grommet.
Wiring doesn’t get easier than this. The light uses a standard PL-3 connector that mates with common 3-prong plugs like the straight A45PB or right-angle A47PB (sold separately). Just plug it in to your existing setup and you’re ready to go—no splicing or guesswork needed.
You don’t have to worry about meeting regulations with this one. It’s DOT compliant and meets FMVSS 108 and CMVSS 108 requirements, so it’s ready for use anywhere those standards apply. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics LED trailer light. This is a round trailer light that serves as a turn signal and parking light. It's going to feature a sonically sealed water proof housing and lens unit that is submersible. The units going to feature a durable surface bound technology when it comes to the construction of the LED circuit board. That's going to better withstand shock and vibration. It also allows for improved heat distribution. Now this is a full LED system.
LED's make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter and they're much more efficient. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments. It's going to feature a nice poly carbonate lens and housing. It's going to be an amber lens.
This is a recess mount installation. It will require a mounting grommet that is sold separately and available at etrailer.com. This light will fit into a four and a half inch diameter hole. It will accept an industry standard three prong plug which is sold separately as well. It is Department of Transportation compliant. It meets FMVSS 108 and CMVSS 108 requirements for automotive lighting. Taking a look at the dimensions real quick.
Starting with the diameter. It's going to give us a measurement of about four and 5/16th of an inch. The overall depth. That's going to give us a measurement of about one and 13/16th of an inch. That's including the plug area.
Not including the plug area is about three quarters of an inch deep. It's going to contain a total of seven diodes. It's going to have a power draw of 12.8 volts for the stop and turn signal 0.234 amps. For the tail light 0.033 amps. Optronics puts a life time warranty on the LED's. We're going to go an hook it up to our power source. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. Connecting the three prong plug is very easy. You just line up the connection points. Push it in until it seats all the way. Creates a nice tight seal. We're going to go ahead and turn off our overhead lights. We get a better look at the light. This is going to be that parking light function. Then when we apply our turn signal. You can see how our signal output increases. Nice, bright design. Again the multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output. We'll do that with the lights on as well. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics LED trailer light.

I want to thank you for all your help with my trailer you were more helpful than you realize. So this is my trailer for a 22' Flats Cat shallow draft Catamaran. I totally dismantled my trailer and buffed by hand with a wire buffer and sand blasted in some spots and applied multiple coats of some very expensive galvanize paint (Z.R.C.). I installed all new C. E. Smith Carpet (about 80'), seven new LED waterproof lights, new springs, new equalizers, new tongue jack, new wench, new safety chain, new chain brackets, all new SS hardware and a 35' long wiring harness.

The 10-diode tail lights were well made, bright, and easy to install. We also ordered and installed the matching reflector rings, which were also easy to install, look great, and give added safety features.
After one of the the incandescent trilights the factory installed on my trailer burnt out I discovered they where sealed and the bulbs could not be replaced,
So I purchased two of these and discovered they are ery nice lights and unlike incandescent lights they don't screw up the turn signal flash rate.
I am now in the process of rebuilding a trailer mounted generator and just ordered 2 more of them for that trailer and I also bought LED marker lights from the same manufacturer.
If you need new or replacement taillights or marker lights LED's are the way to go, long lasting, nice and bright and in my opinion they way they instantly light up get more attention from drivers behind me possibly reducing the chances of getting my trailer rear ended by a inattentive driver.
