Today, we're going to be reviewing part number CPL4A. This is the amber colored LED trailer tail light from Custer Trailer Lights. If we take a measurement from outer edge to outer edge, it's going to give us four inches so this is going to be your four inch round amber light. The depth that we have, measuring from the front of the lens to the back of the housing, including the connection point back there, it's going to give us a depth of about two inches. This light is going to contain 18 diodes, which are going to be your LEDs. LEDs are a great system to have in place. They're going to be more efficient.
They're going to last longer and draw less amps than standard incandescent trailer lights. The lens on this is going to be a nice durable acrylic lens. It's going to feature an ABS plastic housing with the built in three connector plug here at the back. You will need the wiring for that. We do sell the three wire plugs separately, part number A47PB is going to be the right angle plug and part number A45PB is going to be the straight plug, which is what we'll be using closer to the end of the video today to show you what the light looks like with power running to it. Custer is going to cover it with a limited lifetime warranty. You'll also need a rubber grommet and mounting bracket for complete installation.
Those are sold separately as well. You can find those here on our website. Part number A45GB for the rubber grommet and part number BK45BB for the mounting bracket. We're going to go and hook this up to our external power source, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. Again, I'm using part number A45PB for the straight angle pigtail. Simple connection; all you got to do is line up the connectors, push it in, it's going to seal it up nicely to ensure that no moisture or dirt or grime gets in the there to cause any corrosion. Go and turn on our power and then we can turn off our overhead lights so you can see that it sends out a nice, consistent signal.
All the diodes are functioning perfectly. The acrylic lens allows a lot of light to come through. Then, when we apply our turn signal, you can see how it illuminates, sends out a stronger signal, a nice quick response time as well. That's going to do it for today's review of part number CPL4A.
