Video Transcript for Looking at the Pro Series Detachable Footplate with Pin

Ian with etrailer here, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Pro Series Detachable Footplate. This footplate is gonna be intended for your 2 1/4 inch jack that uses the two-inch diameter inner tube, and does go up to 5,000 pounds for that capacity, so pretty high capacity for even a smaller footplate like that. The foot is gonna be zinc-plated, so that's gonna help keep away that rust and corrosion, and does include the clip and pin to be able to secure that to your jack. Regardless of whether you're replacing the footplate or adding one on because your jack didn't come with the foot plate, this is gonna be that best option for that. And that's gonna do for our look at for the Pro Series Detachable Footplate. My name's Ian with etrailer, and I appreciate you watching.

by:

What can I say, does what it's supposed to.

by:

Product fit perfectly; is quite sturdy. Shipment
and delivery was very fast. I couldn't have asked
for more.

by:

Probably the lowest price jack plate you sell, but it is sturdy and zinc coated. Why pay more.

by:

So much nicer to have this than have to keep a piece of plywood to put the jack on. For the small investment i say BUY IT !!!

by:

Good and inexpensive, it even includes the pin! Works great, I don't have to keep a chunk of wood under the jack to prevent it from sinking into the ground.

by:

Works great, keeps my 94' Valley 2 Horse up and so far no sinking. Though I'll probably still add a board for the spring but that's just because it does get very wet and muddy up here in Maine that time of year. Quick and easy to put on and stays put and out of the way.

by:

works right - great price - and outstanding shipping

  • 2000-lb A-Frame Jack to Replace Atwood 80274
Based on my research the Atwood jack 80274 was an A-frame type side-wind tongue jack with a 2K weight rating. The Pro Series jack # PSRV20000103 that you referenced is a suitable replacement for this discontinued product. The Pro Series offers a 2K weight rating, 14-inches of lift and measures 13-inches from the mounting bracket to the top, excluding the handle. This jack does not come with a wheel or foot plate but you can use either wheel part # PS1400750340 which will reduce capacity...

  • Is There a Foot Plate that Fits Pro Series Jack # PSRV20000103
Hey Kevin, for a foot plate that fits your Pro Series Jack # PSRV20000103 the part # PS1400700340 is the recommended plate.

  • Replacement Jack for a 2007 Nu Camp Tab 320 Trailer
Yes, we do Larry. The newer Tab 320's come with a jack similar to our Round A-Frame Trailer Jack item # TJA-5000S-B. This attaches to the a-frame mounting bolt pattern and measures 15" from the bottom of the mounting bracket to top of jack. It measures 8-3/8" when retracted and 24" when extended to give you 15-5/8" of travel. To add a wheel you can use the Ram Removable, 6" Poly Caster Assembly for 2" Jack Tube item # JC-101. The Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack item # PS1401000303, you...

  • A-Frame Trailer Tongue Jack to Lift 2,000 lb Trailer Tongue
Howdy, Mel! The Trailer Valet JXC Trailer Jack # TV94FR does only have a 1.6K tongue weight lift rating so I definitely see where the confusion comes in. The 5K rating is for when the trailer jack isn't moving up or down, which just makes trailer jack tongue weight ratings all the more confusing. For your application, I recommend swapping out your trailer jack to the etrailer Round A-Frame Trailer Jack # TJA-5000S-B. This has the same static load rating of 5,000 lbs, but it's also rated...

  • Recommended Sidewind A-frame Jack for Small Karavan Utility Trailer
I looked up your Karavan trailer online, and found it has a GVWR just shy of 3000 lbs. I'd recommend the Pro Series Sidewind A-frame jack, part # PSRV20000103. The jack has a 2000 lb capacity, which is plenty for your small trailer, as the jack won't need to pick up the entire weight of the trailer, just it's tongue weight. The additional capacity means that jack won't need to work very hard and should therefore last you a very long time. The jack doesn't include a foot plate, which...

  • Fulton F2 Swing-Up Jack for a T@B TAB Tear Trailer with a 1.5
I think the Fulton F2 Swing-Up Jack is a good choice. The model for 4 - 5" frames is # F1413140334. The 1600 lb. tongue weight rating is much more than you need, but won't affect the function of the jack. The height will work and it will get the jack level with the tongue when traveling. My only concern would be that you have enough space on your frame for the jack to swing up. You will need approximately 25" of frame space that is free from other accessories to allow the jack to swing...

  • Is a Support Plate Needed When Installing Bulldog A-Frame Trailer Jack # BD1550101344
It would be a good idea to add a support plate, like # BDSPB50, when installing A-frame jack # BD1550101344. The plate can be welded or bolted on. This plate fits on the underside of the trailer. The jack will then bolt into place. If you need a foot use # PS1400700340 or for a wheel use # PS1400750340.

  • Height of Buyers Products A-Frame Jack # 3370091265 without Handle
I went out to our warehouse to take a look at the Buyers Products A-Frame Jack # 3370091265 referenced in your question. I measured a height from the mounting bracket up to the top of the tube (before the handle) of just about 9-1/2 inches. I have attached an image to assist. To get the clearance measurement you're needing you likely will need to move down to a 2,000 pound topwind jack (if possible for your trailer's tongue weight). For this I recommend taking a look at the Pro Series...

  • Recommended A-Frame Trailer Jack for 7000 lb Trailer
You will need to choose a jack whose capacity exceeds the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer. Typically trailer tongue weight is 10-15 percent of the weight of the trailer. This means that when loaded to maximum, your tongue weight would vary between 700 and 1050 lbs. I recommend the Bulldog A-Frame Jack, part # BD1550101344. A foot is available, part # PS1400700340. A caster is also offered, part # BD500245. Keep in mind that once a caster is added the capacity...

  • Low Clearance A-Frame Trailer Jack that Can be Fitted with a Wheel or Footplate
The footplate for Bulldog rack and gear jack # BD018520 is welded to the foot and cannot be removed but I do have some recommendations for you. First, take a look at Pro Series jack # PS1401000303. The mounting bracket is very low relative to the bottom of the jack tubes, 5-1/2 inches. You can use footplate, # PS1400700340 and wheel # PS1400750340. The wheel is rated for 1,200 pounds so it would limit the jack capacity to 1,200 pounds also. And we also have Bulldog jack # BD155033 with...

  • Is Footplate from Shelby 5793 Jack Compatible with Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack # PSEA20000340
Footplates for trailer jacks tend to be universal so I would be surprised if the one from your Shelby wasn't compatible with the Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack # PSEA20000340 that you referenced. The Pro Series Detachable Footplate # PS1400700340 that was made to go with this jack has the standard 1/4" pin so if the footplate from your Shelby has a 1/4" pin and has a tubing diameter of 2" on the jack itself then you can most certainly use your old footplate with the Pro Series jack.

  • Distance from Plate to Pin Hole on Pro Series Detachable Footplate # PS1400700340
I went out to the warehouse and was able to measure the distance from the base plate to the pin hole on the Pro Series Detachable Footplate # PS1400700340. The distance is right at 3/4 inches so you should have no problem using it with your existing jack as long as it also has 2 inch diameter tubing. I have included an image labeled with this dimension for you to review.

  • Footplate Recommendation to Replace Wheel Caster on Trailer Tongue Jack
The Pro Series Footplate, part # PS1400700340, is a great choice for a replacement footplate on your trailer jack. The footplate features a snapper pin so no additional clip is needed to secure the foot. I've linked a video for you to take a look at.

  • Recommended Trailer Jack to Use with Bulldog Heavy-Duty Cast Head Coupler # BD44150WH301
I do have a solution for you, however the Bulldog Square A-Frame Jack referenced in your question will not work well with the Bulldog Heavy-Duty Cast Head Coupler # BD44150WH301. This is because this particular coupler features a 2-1/4 inch diameter hole that is designed to accept round tube trailer jacks, not a square design like the Bulldog model you mentioned. For this coupler, I instead recommend looking at the Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack # BD1550101344. This is another great 3,000...

  • Replacement Manual Jack for Atwood Powered Trailer Jack
Yes the Pro Series A-frame jack part # PSRV20000103 will work great as a replacement for the powered Atwood jack you have now on your trailer. It will easily bolt up in place of it and would have more than enough lifting capacity for your trailer that would weigh up to 7,000 lbs. For a foot for this jack we have the part # PS1400700340.

  • A-Frame Jack Recommendation for Travel Trailer with Propane Tank Right Behind Jack
As far as the Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K goes the design, and more specifically the placement of the pin, is placed close to the mounting point of the jack because that is where the jack is most stable. As far as I know they are not yet making one that would work out well for your travel trailer. Your best option is a different jack that doesn't stick down so far below the trailer frame. Bulldog 3K jack # BD1550101344 is one option. Without a footplate on it measures 7 inches from...

  • What is the Inner Diameter of the Pro Series Detachable Footplate # PS1400700340?
The 2-inch diameter measurement of the Pro Series Detachable Footplate w/ Pin for 2" Diameter Jacks # PS1400700340 is the inner diameter. It is designed to fit jacks that have an inner tube diameter of 2 inches like the Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack # PSEA20000103.

  • Trailer Jack Option for Trailer with 1-3/4 inch Hole for Jack Leg to Fit
All of the sidewind jacks like the part # PSRV20000103 will have an outer diameter of 2 or 2-1/4 inches. This one happens to be 2-1/4 inches. You would have to open up the lower hole to match the correct size of the larger jack. A qualified fabricator in your area would have no problem doing this. This jack would work great for you as it has more than enough capacity. For a foot plate you would need part # PS1400700340 or a wheel caster # PS1400750340.

I looked up some pictures of your trailer and it looks like the style of jack that came on your trailer is an A-frame style jack like part # PSRV20000103. This would be a great jack to use as a replacement as it should replace what you currently have and has plenty of capacity. I feel confident recommending this jack because of how many positive reviews it has as well. This jack does not come with a wheel or footplate. For a wheel, you can use # PS1400750340. For a foot plate, you can use # PS1400700340.

  • A-Frame Jack Replacement for a Carry On 5x10LGW2K Trailer
I looked up pictures of your Carry On 5x10LGW2K trailer and it uses a standard A-frame design so for an easy replacement the Pro Series Jack part # PSEA20000103 would be a great topwind option just like what came on the trailer.
