Can Axles Measurements Be Slightly Off When Upgrading To A New Axle?

I have 74-1/2inch center and 91-1/2inch Hub face. I see from other QandA that I should be good with 74inch center spring but doesnt say anything about HF. Which axle would be compatible or will the 74 center 89 hub face will work? I have 2011 FR toy hauler model SLC203 that is currently equipped with two 3.5K axles and I am trying to upgrade to 5K or 6K with 6 on 5.5 lugs.

When replacing/upgrading axles, you do want the hub face and spring center measurements to match for the best fit and performance. Having the measurements even a little off can cause premature wear (especially with the spring centers being off as this will angle them slightly inwards). It may only be 1/4" off on each side, but I recommend removing the spring seats from the etrailer Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles - 89" Long - 5,200 lbs # e55GR and then welding on the # TRSS300 spring seats in the proper position. This will fix that part.
The next thing you will need to check is the back spacing of your current wheels/tires. The etrailer Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles - 89" Long - 5,200 lbs # e55GR would reduce that by 1-1/4" per side. If you have at least 2-1/4" (a little more would be better) of space between the sidewall of the tire and the fender, frame, or wheel well, then you could go with this axle. However, if you have less than that, it isn't going to be a good option. In that case, you will be much better off going to a local trailer supply place that can have axles made to your specifications.
If you are wanting to upgrade purely for the larger bolt pattern, we do have the etrailer Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3.5K Axles - 6 on 5-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-655-35-EZ-K and TruRyde Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb Axles - 10" Diameter - 6 on 5-1/2 - Pre-Greased # TRU58AV. These both use the standard # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearings found on 3,500 pound axles, but have that 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern found on larger axles.
Why are you wanting to go with a heavier duty axle? What are you typically hauling?

Thanks Lazer! I am hauling a 4 seat RZR so I would rather upgrade to 5K or 6K axle. Too bad etrailer does not carry 92" HF straight axle which would take care of my issue. Removing the current spring seats and moving them would not be an issue for me. Thanks for you help.
