Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at some Lippert drive-in wheel studs. Folks, these are going to be a 9 / 16 inch diameter and they are going to be about 2 and 5 / 16 inches long with a 0.689 inch neural. So folks, when you're replacing damaged hub hardware such as studs, it's very, very crucial to have these measurements match up precisely. So again, we have the overall length, that 2 and 5 / 16 inch, and then we have the 9 / 16 inch diameter.
But the most important thing to me is this neural measurement. Now this neural measurement is the part here under the head that has these splines. That's the part that's actually holding onto the hub when you put it in. So to measure it, you want to take your old one out, use a set of dial calipers. We sell these separately.
And basically you want to get right here on the neurals themselves. Okay And you want to get that measurement. So again, let me carefully spin it around this way. So 0.689 is what we're getting and that's exactly what we want to get when we measure that. So again, you want to match up what you have with what you're looking at on the product page.
We do carry these in different lengths, different sizes, different thicknesses, different neurals. So again, that neural is probably the most critical measurement you need. And these are a yellow zinc plate. So they're going to be steel underneath, but it's going to resist corrosion because of that yellow zinc plating. And these are easy DIY drive-in studs.
