Video Transcript for Lionshead Tires and Wheels LHLR110 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Lionshead 9/16 by 18 stainless steel capped lug nut. This lug nut is constructed of a steel with a stainless steel outer cap for maximum durability and corrosion resistant. It is designed to fit 9/16 of an inch wheel bolts with 18 threads per inch. It does have the standard 60 degree taper on it. The height on this if we measure it is going to be right at two inches tall, and it does use a socket size of 7/8 of an inch. I pulled a 7/8 inch socket here, and you can see it fits right on there.

It allows you to remove it or install it. That should do it for the review on the Lionshead 9/16 by 18 stainless steel capped lug nut.

etrailer is the best place to find good quality and hard to fine products for your trailer. Their service is 5 star for ordering and returns. I have never had any problems with this company and I will continue to use them for future needs. Thank you for a great dependable company.

A perfect match for the lugs on our Solitude 390 with Morryde independent suspension. If you have tried to find these lugs in local shops you know they are almost like Bigfoot.

Wheel lug nuts look pretty heavy duty and of good quality. Very pleased with them. Also a big Thanks to Kelly P she is very helpful in helping me find what I needed. Will work with her in the future when she is available.

Perfect match to our original lug nuts.

Ordered in the afternoon and it shipped the next morning. I'm not used to paying frieght, but the charges were actual instead of the inflated charges where other vendors make more money. Can't complain about anything except for the caps on the originallug nuts coming apart after 3 years. Purchased a totally deep 7/8 socket to help prevent that. Thanks Etrailer.

Excellent. Thank you

It is still a two piece lug nut grantee to fail

These should fit as I checked the size of my current lugs. They are spares just in case....They came with a day early with the wheel I ordered. They were well packaged. Very happy, I would order again.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA fast service helpfull

Arrived quickly. Lug nut was good construction and fit as specified.

Again like all the other orders I have gotten from Etrailer, fast and great service. Couldn’t find anywhere what I was looking for, as always you guys had it. Thank you and keep up the great service. The lug nuts are exactly what I was looking for.

Working Great, wheels haven’t fallen off.

It was a little difficult to locate on your site under lug nuts. Actually found it through online search back to your site. Delivered as promised . Thank. you

Love these wheel covers! Perfect fit on my Lakota horse trailer and have kept my tires from developing sun exposure/rain rot, extending the life of my tires. Wish they were a little easier to get on/off but that’s just the old man in me complaining. They even helped through the winter as seen in the photo!

Was exactly what I needed, bought a couple extra, fit was perfect for the Lippert axles

I received the lug nuts I ordered from etrailer as promised. etrailer was the only provider I found who had the lug nuts I needed in stainless steel. I have both an RV and a boat trailer and the current lug nuts have all corroded badly so I wanted stainless steel to prevent this from occurring. Ordering from etrailer was easy and convenient. Thanks!

I needed to find matching lug nuts, simple as that may sound, for our new 5th wheel having no success locally. I found etrailer was quick, easy, efficient and had the correct lug nuts available immediately. Shipping was very expeditions and reasonably priced. The order was completed and shipped professionally and promptly. etrailer will definitely be on my list of "go to" places in the future. Thank you etrailer!

Very hard to find this lug nut locally to fit my 5th wheel trailer. Even my local trailer building place didn't have them. But etrailer had them and a perfect fit and match to my other ones.

I ordered lug nuts for my RV and needed them within 5 days. Sheri T. had the lug nuts delivered within the time I needed. The lug nuts were very difficult to find locally, so I went online and found them at The lug nuts that I received were exactly what I was looking for. In the future I certainly will use rather than look all over to find parts, for my RV. Great service and Great product.

They’re lug nuts, what else can you say.

Customer Service is great. I ordered 32 lug nuts and two of them were wrong size. I spoke with them in regards to the problem and they sent the correct ones out right away. I highly recommend them!

Lug nuts are excellent quality and shipping was quick. Great product backed up with great service, Cant beat!!

Quality of product is excellent!. The package was held up in Houston for a week while UPS transferred to USPS. Received ten days after ordering and some of the nuts were loose in the damaged box. The plastic bag should have been sealed close to insure that there was no loss of nuts through holes in box.

Perfect replacement.

Excellent exact replacement

Awesome wheels and tires.

Found these lug nuts for my toy hauler that I was unable to find locally.

  • Lug Nuts Keep Coming Loose on Double Axle Trailer
If you still have the trailer manual, I would recommend checking that to see what the manufacturer of your trailer has set as the recommended torque specs for your hubs; a majority of the time, these issues are rooted in over/under tightening of the lug nuts like the # LHLR110. This is also a good time to make sure that your wheels are properly rated for your fully loaded trailer- which could be another potential cause. When you take into consideration the stress that is put on hubs and...

  • Are Right Handed Lug Nuts More Likely To Loosen When Installed On the Left Hand Side Of a Trailer
I think what you are asking is if right hand threaded lug nuts have a greatly likelihood of coming loose when installed on the left hand side of the trailer in comparison to when they are installed on the right hand side of the trailer due to the direction the wheel is rotating. If that is the case then this was a concern at one time but more accurate testing has confirmed that it makes no difference as to what way the lug nut threads on in relation to the rotation of the wheel. If you...

The Goodyear Endurance ST255/85R16 Radial Tire with 16" Viking Aluminum Wheel # 724862519AT is a lug centric tire and wheel combo, which fits hubs with 1/2"-20 or 9/16"-18 wheel bolts and you can secure with the Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - 1/2"-20 # LHLR103 or 9/16"-18 # LHLR110. In regards to balance, trailer tires do not come balanced, and though you can have them balanced if you wish, it isn't something that is necessary for performance so long as your tow vehicle tires are balanced....

  • Is It Okay To Have a Travel Trailer With Left Hand Threads On Left Side Of Trailer?
There are some trucks and trailers which use left hand threads on the left hand side wheels and tires but these are typically larger commercial applications. For your travel trailer I recommend switching your single wheel with the left hand threads you have over to right hand threads. This will help to reduce confusion and prevent damage to your hub since the left hand threads are not commonly used on the smaller trailers. It also ensures all your components are interchangeable so you don't...

  • Picking Out Lug Nuts for 2018 Van Leigh 365RL
I looked up as much as I could on your 2018 Van Leigh 365RL Vilano and wasn't able to get the exact size. It's either going to be 1/2 inch or 9/16 inch based on what I was able to find on the bolt pattern. For 9/16 inch we have the part # LHLR110 and for 1/2 inch we have the # LHLR103.

  • What Does Right Hand Thread Mean for Trailer Lug Nuts
Right hand thread means that they tighten turning clockwise like what you have. Older vehicles and trailers used to put left hand threaded lugs on one side of the trailer and right hand on the other. The thinking back then was that they all had to tighten a certain direction relative to the rotation of the wheels otherwise they would loosen on their own from inertia while traveling down the road. In recent years we've learned that's not true so basically everything now is right hand thread.

I have a solution for you, however, we do not carry snap on lug nut covers small enough to fit the lug nuts on your trailer. We do offer lug nuts with a finished back if you are okay with replacing your lug nuts. If you need 1/2 inch lug nuts, part # 12CLN would work well for you. If you need 9/16 inch lug nuts, you would want part # LHLR110.

  • What Type of Lug Nut Should Be Used with a 17.5" Alcoa Wheel with 9/16 Wheel Studs
At the end of the day, you can use any of those options (stainless steel, zinc or chrome), you just need to get a lug nut that fits the 9/16 stud. But, we do not have a chrome option that fits the 9/16 stud. Personally, I would go with the stainless steel option because it will provide the best corrosion resistance and the most durable option. - Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut # LHLR110 But if you are looking for a more economical option, you can use the zinc coated lug nut. - DeeMaxx...

We do offer a one-piece lug nut, assuming your wheel studs are a 1/2 inch with a 20 thread per inch thread could. If that's the case, you'd need part # AM90049. If you have 9/16-18 studs, we don't offer a one-piece lug nut, you'd need to go with part # LHLR110 which is a steel lug nut with a stainless jacket. I've linked you to product description videos for the lug nuts mentioned above.

  • Lug Nut Recommendation for Boat Trailer With 6 Bolt Wheels
The most common wheel stud diameter for trailer wheels is 1/2 inch which the part # LHRL103 would be a great option for as it's a stainless steel lug nut that won't corrode. The next most popular size is 9/16 inch which is common on larger capacity axles like you may have. For that you'd need the part # LHLR110. The wheel itself does not determine the necessary lug nut size. The best way to determine the correct lug nut is to remove one and take it to your local hardware store. They should have a series of bolt that you can test fit the nut on to determine the correct thread pitch and diameter.
