Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq 12-inch-tall white LED 360-degree all round boat navigation pole light. Now this is a 360-degree LED pole light that makes your boat more visible when traveling at night. The all round navigation lights will project a nice white light all around the boat, 360 degrees. And just to show you the light we're talking about, I have it hooked up to some 12 volt power. So we'll go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power and you can see the light come on.

Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights so you can see how bright it is. Now this must be displayed at night and in periods of poor visibility like fog or heavy rain. Turn our light back on. And what's night on this pole, what's nice on this pole light, if you look at the very bottom, it has this knob here. If you loosen that knob enough, it'll allow you to, it's a hinged pole design, so it'll let you easily tilt and adjust the light as needed.

So once you get it in the angle you need it, just go ahead and tighten that knob back down, it'll hold it into place. Also, the top up here where the light is, you notice I'm able to turn that. You can even adjust that a little bit either way. Now this does use a single premium LED. It is energy efficient, long lasting, vibration resistant, and it meets every all round light specification.

Basically it means it has a range of two nautical miles. It is a sealed, waterproof unit, includes a nice durable polycarbonate housing, UV resistant lens. And they do use military grade construction on the circuit board. And urethane potting gives you better protection than the common epoxy potting. The pole itself is an aluminum construction and it is 12 volt DC compatible.

We're gonna go ahead and turn off our light. It is a surface-mount installation, has a base with two holes in it, two screws that hold it in place. Now the hardware's not included. You would've to supply that. And it does hard wire, let we disconnect it from our power. And you can see it comes with a black and a white wire. It does hardwire to your application. The length of the wires they give you is about 18 inches. Few dimensions on the pole itself, the length is 12 inches long, diameter 3/4 of an inch. Now this also does come in many other heights. This one is a 12 inch, you can get 'em anywheres from 12 inch all the way up to 48 inch. We do sell those separate on our website. And the last thing, just to give you the base dimension, the width of the base, 2 1/2 inches by 1 1/4 inches. And the distance between those mounting holes, center to center, 1 3/4 inches.
