I have a great alternative for you. I confirmed with BAK that the reason why the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover - Roll Up - Aluminum and Vinyl # BAK39121 is listed to fit and the BAK X4 BAK79101 is not listed to fit is because the BAK X4 has been discontinued from the manufacturer. BAK and other tonneau cover manufacturers customize each tonneau cover model for bed length and year/make/model to get the right fit on different vehicles.
However, I recommend the newest BAK model for your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500. The BAK Revolver X4s Hard Tonneau Cover - Roll Up - Aluminum and Vinyl - Matte Black # BAK52VR involves a bolt-on installation inside the bed rails with no drilling required. The X4s also has water seals that keeps out water without the need for drain tubes.
