Question:
By mistake, bought the custom wiring kit # 56189 for my 2018 Mitsubishi outlander. I should have bought the kit with tow package # 56296. Can I convert 56189 to 56296 by repositioning wires. Can I get a wiring diagram for both kits?

Expert Reply:
No, you would not be able to convert the Curt T-Connector # C56189 to the # C56296. You would need to return the # C56189 and purchase the # C56296 in order to get the necessary components for your Outlander. There ae no wiring diagrams listing the specific functions of each wire in this wire harness kits since they come with vehicle specific connectors and aren't designed for the end consumer to make alterations to.
