Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Heavy Loads: 6,500-lb Rear Suspension Support

When your rear end starts to sag under a heavy trailer or bed load, these hollow rubber springs provide up to 6,500 lbs of support to keep things level. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System sits above the rear axle and works with your factory suspension to stabilize handling and braking under load. It keeps the truck from squatting and helps maintain steering control and proper headlight aim even with serious weight on the back.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Progressive Rubber Springs that Absorb Shock

Bumps, ruts, and rough pavement don’t have to beat up your suspension. The Aeon hollow rubber springs compress progressively, soft at first for comfort and then firmer as weight increases. That design cushions light loads, absorbs road shock, and helps prevent bottoming out when things get rough. The rubber construction adds elasticity that gives a smoother, more stable ride when loaded compared to stiffer materials like microcellular urethane.

Stay Steady in Crosswinds and Turns: Independent Spring Action

Each spring works independently so one side can react without affecting the other. That independent action keeps the vehicle balanced through sharp turns or uneven loads and helps cut down body roll when swerving or cornering. With better roll stability, less sway, and a more planted feel, your vehicle stays composed even when a trailer starts to move around in crosswinds or when hitting uneven ground.

Simple Install with No Air Lines or Adjustments

There’s no need for compressors, air hoses, or manual adjustments. This system replaces the factory bump stops and bolts directly onto existing frame rails—no drilling required. The included custom-fit brackets and hardware make installation straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic tools. Once installed, the springs require no maintenance and automatically provide the right amount of support as your load changes.

The timbres bump stop is exactly the right height to meet the axel when the trailer is connected with all its weight onto the hitch. I have an Andersen weight distribution hitch and it levels out perfectly. The day picture is with the coach (Winn 2100bh) with factory equipment. The night picture is after the timbres are in place. Looks good.

It has been almost a year since I installed Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems (DVF350 and DVR350R) on the front and rear of my 2003 Dodge RAM Van 3500. These bumpers replaced the OEM bump stops that were on my van. I like the Timbren bumpers much better than the OEM bump stops because they provide a progressively cushioned response for suspension compression when traveling over significant humps like speed bumps in a parking lot, or curb ramps into driveways. I did not like the abrupt stop the OEM bump stops provided when traveling over the same objects. I installed the Timbren rear bumpers first, and after a few months of use, I decided to add them to the front. In both cases, the front and rear Timbren bumpers were easy to install once the OEM bump stops were removed. Installation required reuse of the factory hardware. On my van, the Timbren bumpers are not always engaged. Under normal load and travel conditions the bumpers are relaxed and about 1/2” away from the suspension landing points. However, their presence is much appreciated and very noticeable when the van is carrying heavy loads or handling significant humps.

2022 F250 Super Duty. Super easy to install. I have about 3/4" gap between the spring and the plate. Time will tell how they impact the ride quality and how much sag they mitigate with my 5th wheel hooked up.

by:

Great upgrade when pulling our 6500lb travel trailer. Helps with sag and control on the road on our Ram 1500. Change the stock shocks and if you choose, upgrade your stock springs, and you'll get the most out of your half ton.

by:

Absolutely Pleased with the TIMBRENS. They were easy to install, and took less than an hour to install both. I noticed a slight stiffness in the ride as the rear bounced over a bad roadway. Towing is great, with a nice level and smooth ride. I am glad that I did not order the heavier duty Timbrens, than what was recomended for my truck. I believe the ride would have been too stiff. If you look at the photos showing the timbrens, the truck is still lifted in the rear, so what you see is a big gap between the rubber, and the steal plate. When the truck is lowered, there's 1" of space as it should be. BTW, I have been purchasing from etrailer for years now, and I have to say that I have never had any issues with any orders. They are my go to folks for all of my vehicle suppension stuff and trailer stuff. You can't go wrong with buying from them.

by:

Easy install took about 20 minutes on my 2017 Ram 3500 SRW. Had about 1/2 inch clearance as recommended. Loaded up my 5th wheel (2350 hitch weight) and about 200 lbs of gear in the bed. Just got back from a 800 mile camping trip through mountains of TN. You can really feel the difference around those sharp corners and uneven surfaces. The truck felt firm and controlled not hard and jarring as some have mentioned. Going over those overpasses with the wonderfully smooth (Not) joists was greatly improved. The truck would squat and rebound again, with a firm controlled response. Driving without a load felt the same as before without them. I would highly recommend these! Ordering from etrailer continues to be my go to option!

Did not level the van…did stabilize some roll

by:

Great addition to the rear of my 170 Mercedes Sprinter.

by:

Suspension springs added support and enhanced the ride. Would do them again with no hesitation.

by:

Works amazing on my 2014 Mercedes Sprinter 2500. I have zero rear end droop due to weight. Love them and absolutely worth the money.

by:

Two years later and still working for what they are intended to !

by:

These were very east to install and helped remove the excessive sway when pulling out of parking lots and when truck pass. Installed on a Forester MBS 2401T motorhome.

by:

They are so easy to install they just replace the factory bump stops. You have to be aware of dips and valleys and speed bumps because you have the weight in direct contact with the axle, so you have to use caution at times of uneven roads. But they do just what they are suppose to do! Great product .

by:

I had a couple of heavy loads in my sprinter to the point of resting on the timbrens. They kept the load level and steady as we drove our first 500 miles of the 1300 we do every week. I would highly recommend Timbren suspension.

by:

The Timbren suspension enhancement system definitely improved the handling on our Sprinter van.

by:

This product for the sprinter van has no mechanical fasteners and will fall out when used. I purchased a second set and fastened them to the chassis and they work great. don't make the same $[XX] mistake and donate them to the side of the road.

  • Best Option for Sway Control on a 2012 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500
Both the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TMBRSP25A and the SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-326-47-1 will help reduce the swaying and rocking issues you are having with your 2012 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500. However, both of these products are more or less geared towards load leveling not necessarily sway control. The best option I have to help with swaying and rocking is a rear sway control bar or on vehicles that already have a rear sway control bar,...

  • Will Timbrens for a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 4x4 Lift the Rear End
The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TMBRSP25A that you asked about won't provide a lift, they will simply prevent sag once a load is applied. These are more so designed for when towing as they mainly just engage when that load is present.

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500
The load that you are carrying on a daily basis is causing your 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 to sag and bottom out. You will need suspension enhancement and I strongly recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TMBRSP25A. • Are There SumoSprings That Fit a Four Winds Chateau Citation On Mercedes Benz Sprinter Chassis
The Four Winds Chateau Citation is built on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Chassis. I checked with SumoSprings and they don't offer any solutions for this chassis but I do have options from Timbren which are very similar to the SumoSprings. They have the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System part # TMBFSP35 for the front and part # TMBRSP25A for the rear so that is what I recommend using. The Timbrens actually provide more support than the SumoSprings.
