Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System. Now this kit here is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2019 to 2021 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 four-wheel drive vehicles. Also fits the 2019 and newer Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 four-wheel drive vehicles. Now on a custom fit part like this one, I do like to recommend for you go to our website, use the fit guy, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll sure this will work for your application.
Now this kit here is gonna improve suspension and handling and safety of your vehicle. It does include everything laid out here on the table. It includes these two Aeon Hollow Rubber Springs, the two mounting brackets, four vehicle specific mounting brackets, the four spacers with the hardware for a nice simple installation. Now when you do install this, you will remove or replace the axle bump stops that are on the frame and there's no drilling required for this and there's no maintenance required, 'cause unlike airbags, there's no compressors or pressure adjustments, you just install and forget. This will provide additional support as needed, as you always have a nice, smooth, comfortable ride.
It'll allow the leaf spring ample movement while cushioning light loads, and it does not affect the empty ride of the vehicle and then becomes more rigid as more weight is added. It increases stability, provides great performance while hauling heavy loads, and it'll even reduce vehicle sag. These do work independently, side to side, help compensate for off center loads, reduces body roll when you're swerving and turning corners. These do also act as shock absorbers. Taking the brunt of bumps and rough roads, helps extend the life of your vehicle's suspension.
Now the capacity on this kit is 11,000 pounds. One note I wanna mention is Timbren springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity, so you do wanna make sure not to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. These are designed to work with the suspension system that is in good working order. The product first arrived in a damaged box with one of the washers missing, but ETrailer did resupply that. The hardest part was finding a shop able (needs the right tools to depress coil springs) and willing (a potential liability issue messing with suspension) to replace it for a reasonable cost. Eventually a local tire shop agreed to. This was for a 2014 Honda Odyssey, especially for pulling a pop-up. Took two camping trips last summer, one before and one after installation, and I have been pleased with the added stiffness in the rear suspension. It made about 1 to 1.5 inch of difference in resting position when fully loaded and towing and has helped smooth out bumps and humps in the road - both when towing and not.

I put this product on my Trooper. The install was easy is you take the back wheels off. I towed this weekend and I did not bottom out. If they hold up over time, this is a great product.

15 mins to install and what a difference…. Went from a few inches of sag in the rear to only an inch and over 1000lbs tongue weight didn’t know the trailer was attached to the truck
