Heavy trailers and campers can push your suspension to its limit, making the rear of your truck sag. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System gives you 6,000 lbs of rear axle support to keep things level and steady. With the truck sitting right, braking and steering stay predictable, headlight aim stays true, and towing feels more controlled no matter how much weight is behind you.

Pile in tools, gear, or lumber without worrying about bottoming out. These hollow rubber springs take the strain off your stock suspension and reduce sag when the bed is full. The truck stays level so it handles better and brakes safer, even with a heavy or uneven load in back.

Bumpy roads and uneven ground don’t have to mean a rough ride. The Timbren springs absorb road shock and vibration before they reach the cab. They cushion each bump to make towing or hauling feel more stable and comfortable while helping protect your suspension components from excess wear.

When you’re cornering hard or carrying weight off center, each spring reacts on its own to keep both sides balanced. That independent action helps cut down on body roll and sway so the truck feels planted through curves, crosswinds, or uneven ground.

There’s no compressor to manage or air pressure to adjust—just solid, rubber support that goes to work automatically when you need it. Once installed, the system provides consistent performance every time you tow or haul without any upkeep required.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Timbren rear axle suspension enhancement system. Now, these springs have been designed to fit your 2017 and newer Chevrolet Colorado 4 wheel drive and on custom fit parts such as these springs, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and any other questions that it might have, and our Fit Guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. These hollow rubber springs have a capacity of 6,000 pounds and they're gonna mount to existing attachment points on your Colorado to give you strong rear axle support, to help reduce sag and improve handling.
Now, these springs are also going to give you additional support as needed, so you always have a smooth, comfortable ride allowing your leaf springs ample movement while cushioning light loads. And they're going to ride just as smoothly when you're not hauling a load. They become more rigid as more weight is added for greater performance when you're hauling a heavy load, increasing stability and reducing vehicle sag. They work independently, adjusting side-to-side, helping to compensate for off-center loads and reducing body roll when swerving and turning corners. These springs also act as shock absorbers, taking the brunt of bumps on rough roads, extending the life of your vehicle suspension.
So this kit does include everything that you see here. You're gonna get these two hollow rubber springs, vehicle specific brackets that, again, are designed for your Colorado. And then the bolts here are going to run through the springs to mount through the spacer and the heart, the bracket, here. So everything that you're gonna need to get these installed in place, along with instructions to guide you through that installation process. Again, the capacity is 6,000 pounds, but it is important to note that these Timbren springs do not actually increase your Colorado's weight carrying capacity, so you wanna be sure that you don't exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit.
Now if you do decide that these are going to be exactly what you need, that's great. Once you get these installed, we would love to hear back from you regarding your experience with them, and you can share your experience with us by dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page. And if you leave a review, you can also send us some photos as well, showing us these in operation and letting us know how they're working out for you. We'd love to hear back from you. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today.
I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Great product. The ride and body roll at the rear axle are notceably improved (1989 Ford E350 Class C RV , 27 ft). I give it 4 stars because the installation was slightly complicated due to the rear brake lines needing to be slightly bent to provide clearance for the U bolts supplied in the kit. Great product and wish it came in a 5000 lb version.3523995
2,000 miles in on a trip from the east coast to the Canadian Rockies these work great while loaded and towing. Close to zero bounce while towing, I love them. Unloaded, however, the ride in my 2026 Tundra has gone south. There is a noticeable, abrupt stop of the units hitting the axle when going over any kind of bump. When I get home and back to regular driving, I may just take them off, its that bad.3587319
I've had these on our tow rig for a year now and I added buy them again today if I needed them.these have worked much better than airbags for our coil spring rear suspension to handle the tongue weight of our trailer. The SUV sits level when the trailer is on and it handles bumps and sway better than the airbags did providing much more comfort to us in the vehicle. Unloaded, we don't really notice they are there, unless, we have all the kids and some friends loaded up and you will fell them work when going over bumps.i do all my maintenance on the vehicle's and inspect these regularly and I cant see any wear so far even though we've gone on 6 trips with our trailer with about 5000 miles doing so.
I cant say these are the best for every truck or SUV, but for ours it is the best and I definitely would recommend to others.3491374
Order came fast and right. E-Trailer gets it the first time !!

Well they are exactly what I thought it would be. Hard for me to say it's what I needed yet.
I installed them on a homemade trailer from a salvaged 2001 base model tacoma. Once I get finished building it out and have some weight in it I'll have a better idea. But from what I've seen so far on a couple test drives they should come into effect when needed.
For reference I building an Tacoma based trailer with an ARE Contractor topper with a Naturnest roof top tent on the very top. So to counter and sway these should be very helpful. At least I hope so. I'm not an engineer but I did stay at an Holliday Inn once.3526287
The Timbren SES is a simple solution for rear squat when towing. When hitched to my 30' Airstream Globetrotter (8800 GVWR) with a tongue weight around 1200 lbs, my Silverado 2500HD had a bit more squat than is ideal. I shopped airbags but didn't want to spend ~$2K for the set up and didn't want the hassle of installation and forever chasing air leaks. The Timbren SES literally installs on the Silverado in about 15 minutes. So simple. No bags, no compressor, no wiring, no air lines, no leaks. And WAY less expensive to boot. Just returned form a 600+ mile trip and it towed flawlessly.3514480
A very simple and straightforward installation once you get the oem bumper stops off (had a shop do that)
Timbren worked with me as I had a non OEM frame height (vehicle was lower than stock) to recommend the proper kit. Highly recommend contacting timbren if you are unsure of the proper kit to use. Ride is more stable. It does feel stiffer and less bouncy but am looking forward to seeing how it performs with my truck camper. Truck is a 1998 dodge ram 2500. Brake line over left side of axle needed to be secured to prevent damage.3527145
The Timbren overload spring/bumper was east to install and did what it was supposed to do when I hitched up a camp trailer. These did not negatively affect the ride by any means and I don't have to worry about the troubles with air bags.3615169
Stiffens and corrects kneel in rear end of 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. You will notice a stiffening of the rear end suspension while unloaded, but it’s a fair trade off to prevent sagging and porpoising while towing. I found it easier to pull the rear wheels and work from the side than underneath the vehicle while installing.3581087
The timbres bump stop is exactly the right height to meet the axel when the trailer is connected with all its weight onto the hitch. I have an Andersen weight distribution hitch and it levels out perfectly. The day picture is with the coach (Winn 2100bh) with factory equipment. The night picture is after the timbres are in place. Looks good.3564611
It has been almost a year since I installed Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems (DVF350 and DVR350R) on the front and rear of my 2003 Dodge RAM Van 3500. These bumpers replaced the OEM bump stops that were on my van. I like the Timbren bumpers much better than the OEM bump stops because they provide a progressively cushioned response for suspension compression when traveling over significant humps like speed bumps in a parking lot, or curb ramps into driveways. I did not like the abrupt stop the OEM bump stops provided when traveling over the same objects. I installed the Timbren rear bumpers first, and after a few months of use, I decided to add them to the front. In both cases, the front and rear Timbren bumpers were easy to install once the OEM bump stops were removed. Installation required reuse of the factory hardware. On my van, the Timbren bumpers are not always engaged. Under normal load and travel conditions the bumpers are relaxed and about 1/2” away from the suspension landing points. However, their presence is much appreciated and very noticeable when the van is carrying heavy loads or handling significant humps.3537594
2022 F250 Super Duty. Super easy to install. I have about 3/4" gap between the spring and the plate. Time will tell how they impact the ride quality and how much sag they mitigate with my 5th wheel hooked up.3390201
Great upgrade when pulling our 6500lb travel trailer. Helps with sag and control on the road on our Ram 1500. Change the stock shocks and if you choose, upgrade your stock springs, and you'll get the most out of your half ton.3267662
Absolutely Pleased with the TIMBRENS. They were easy to install, and took less than an hour to install both. I noticed a slight stiffness in the ride as the rear bounced over a bad roadway. Towing is great, with a nice level and smooth ride. I am glad that I did not order the heavier duty Timbrens, than what was recomended for my truck. I believe the ride would have been too stiff. If you look at the photos showing the timbrens, the truck is still lifted in the rear, so what you see is a big gap between the rubber, and the steal plate. When the truck is lowered, there's 1" of space as it should be. BTW, I have been purchasing from etrailer for years now, and I have to say that I have never had any issues with any orders. They are my go to folks for all of my vehicle suppension stuff and trailer stuff. You can't go wrong with buying from them.3315678
Easy install took about 20 minutes on my 2017 Ram 3500 SRW. Had about 1/2 inch clearance as recommended. Loaded up my 5th wheel (2350 hitch weight) and about 200 lbs of gear in the bed. Just got back from a 800 mile camping trip through mountains of TN. You can really feel the difference around those sharp corners and uneven surfaces. The truck felt firm and controlled not hard and jarring as some have mentioned. Going over those overpasses with the wonderfully smooth (Not) joists was greatly improved. The truck would squat and rebound again, with a firm controlled response. Driving without a load felt the same as before without them. I would highly recommend these! Ordering from etrailer continues to be my go to option!1639409

Easy to install. And a simple way to bolster truck for overlanding equipment.3432506
The system was built perfectly and very easy to install.3609511
Top quality product, complete kit with Instructions and everything needed to do the job. Easy Installation and a great finished product.3457832
Easy install on a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. Less than 5 mins total with an impact to loosen and tighten the four U-bolt nuts. I did not need to lift the truck to replace the stock bump stops with these.3597476
They arrived in a timely period. , they appear to be quality built and are very sturdy. The only thing I would like to see was a more in-depth video for installation for the specific model of bump stops and vehicle.3580521
I installed these on a Chevy Colorado ZR2. It has great suspension for offroading, but needed a little help towing near max towing capacity. These did a great job of fixing that problem. Easy to install, would have been nice if they were marked driver side/passenger side as the bracket is the same for both sides. Took a little time to figure out how to get the best use of the bracketry. Picture in install sheet was was not very clear. But overall performance was great.3566425
