The flush-mount design of the Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack keeps the bars tight to the roofline for a clean, factory-style appearance. Nothing sticks past the sides, so it blends in with your vehicle and keeps a low, aerodynamic profile. It looks like it was built in, not bolted on.
Driving with crossbars can sometimes mean extra wind noise, but these are built to keep things quiet. The aerodynamic shape helps air move smoothly over the rack, while push-down rubber strips in the top channels fill gaps that cause whistling or vibration. The result is a calmer ride without the usual hum overhead.
These bars are ready for all kinds of gear—whether you’re loading up kayaks, bikes, skis, or a cargo box. The top channels accept mounts that slide right in, and they also work with clamp-on accessories you may already own. That flexibility means you can bring just about anything you need for your next road trip or watersport weekend.
The BaseLine FX includes two integrated crossbars with towers and a custom fit kit designed for vehicles without factory rails. It installs directly onto a naked roof to create a sturdy foundation for your gear. And if you want to add some theft deterrence later, Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores are available separately to secure the rack and channel-mounted accessories.
Made from durable aluminum and finished in black, this rack combines strength with corrosion resistance. It carries up to 165 lbs (always stay within your vehicle’s roof load limit) and comes backed by a limited lifetime warranty. It’s dependable support for everything from daily hauling to long camping trips.

I was in dire need of finding a cross bar system to mount a 18cu foot Yakima cargo carrier for an upcoming camping trip and etrailer did me an enormous favor by using there website to find the correct system for my 2018 Toyota Camry. I was very pleased that the website confirmed the fitment and provided the whole kit with not just the towers and cross bars but also the clips to mount to a naked roof. So far the mounting was pretty straightforward as long as you follow the directions thoroughly. I drove 5 hours through a wind storm in SoCal with a box mounted and the system held up perfectly fine with no issues or hiccups. 10/10 recommend.
Once I read the manual to get the correct adjustments.

Very solid roof rack solution but the wind noise is mind-numbing. Ugh.
the product was exceptional. I would recommend it to anyone, who has a vehicle with a naked roof. It is a solid as a factory installed rack. Josh went out of his way to get me a replacement torque screw driver because the first one from Yakima was working properly.
The yakima jetstream crossbar looks beautiful. Quality is great. Took my vehicle for a test drive, and i didnt hear anything loose or broken from the bars. Very satisfied with the product and the instructions were great. It was my first time installing a roof rack too.
