Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this SeaSucker Oval Mount Monkey bar roof rack. Now this vacuum mount roof rack is going to allow you to mount your accessories on a vehicle with a naked roof. So rather than having to worry about drilling holes or more permanent installation this system is going to allow you to temporarily install the rack on your vehicle roof. So it is gonna be great if you're wanting to switch the rack from one vehicle to another pretty frequently. Or if you're gonna be using a rental car while you're traveling this is gonna be a great system for you.

This does have the oval vacuum cups that will allow you to install the monkey bars on a Jeep or other vehicle with those roof ridges where the standard round cups aren't going to fit. These vacuum cups will install in seconds. They're very easy to get installed. So you can see we've got this plunger here on the back side. So we're just going to apply some pressure and then pump that plunger that is going to create that vacuum seal that we need for that nice secure attachment.

And when that orange indicator is no longer visible that's when you know that the rack is secure. And so it is going to give you a nice 165 pound pull strength per cup. And so with our whole rack system we're gonna have a 990 pound pull strength. This will install on non-porous surfaces like metal, glass or fiberglass. And so it is gonna be great for your rooftops.

And then when you're ready to remove it you just simply push in on the tabs here on the ends. That's going to break that seal and allow you to very easily remove the rack there. So very simple to get installed and to remove. The system will provide these two 48 inch long one and a quarter inch diameter round crossbars that will work with most Clamp On accessories, you are able to customize your cross bar spread so you can carry a variety of gear sizes on your roof. These are an aluminum construction.

They're gonna have a weight capacity of 150 pounds. But of course, you always want to make sure you're observing your vehicle's maximum roof load capacity. But they will very easily come off your roof and then they do screw apart. So if you want to collapse it, condense it into a smaller size so that you can store it in your trunk, garage, or suitcase when they're not in use. The longest portion is about 26 inches long. So it gives you an idea of the small space that this will fit into. And because they are an aluminum construction they are very lightweight. Our total rack weight is only 12 pounds and it does have a black powder coat finish to it. So in addition to that aluminum natural rust and corrosion resistance now you're gonna get that extra benefit of that black powder coat. So it's gonna hold up really well for you. Now one thing I do wanna mention because these are so easy to remove, if you do plan on leaving them installed on your roof while you're out hiking or skiing or whatever the case may be I would recommend getting a trunk or window cable anchor and a cable lock to secure these and your gear onto your roof and help to deter any theft. But they are going to be made here in the USA so you can trust they are nice, high quality and they do come with a limited lifetime warranty.
