Today on our camper we'll be taking a look at and installing the Soft Touch assist handle, black with black grip, part number AH-150. It's also available in white, part number AH-100. Step into luxury with the Soft Touch assist handle, what a beaut. The comfort molded finger grips provide stability and safety as you climb in your coach. It's made out of a black, poly carbonate construction with a black rubber grip and the whole thing measures eighteen and a half inches tall. The rubber grip itself measures about eleven and a half inches and has a eleven molded finger grooves. To get our new soft assist handle installed, we'll need to go ahead and remove our old one.
As you can see, it's all worn out and it's not very solid. I'll grab my Phillips head and we'll go ahead and take the screws out. We won't be using the same holes so I'm going to go ahead and clean them up and then caulk them. We do sell caulk here at etrailer.com, and that's going to be part number 0160297. Now, I'll grab my new handle and I'm just going to center it up with my door handle here.
Also, you'll notice that the mounting holes are slightly off center. I'm going to make sure that those are all the way to the right. I'll take my drill and I'm just going to mark each of my holes. Then, we can just remove the handle and finish drilling those out. Now, you want to be sure and use a smaller drill bit than your hardware. Now we can replace our handle and run our new hardware through.
Perfect and that's going to complete our look with the Stromberg Carlson Soft Touch assist handle, black with black grip, part number AH-150.

Our trailer came with a very small grab handle which was insufficient for stabilizing the user while getting in and out. This one is large, comfortable and looks a lot nicer too.

The service is excellent. I placed the order on a Sunday and 2 days later I was installing the handle. Originally I was going to install the handle on the outside to assist entry, but I was tired of placing my hand on the wall when I exit the camper, so I mounted it on the inside by the door. Personally I thought the screws were a little large for my application so I used a #12 instead. I always compare prices before I buy and for me, no one has ever beat their prices. Please don't let the low prices fool you, they sell quality merchandise. When you call them on the phone, they know their inventory and can answer your questions about their products. I still compare prices and so far no one beats their prices. If I do find an item and its higher on their website, I would pay the extra money just because of their prompt service and the courtesy they have extended to me in the past.

My wife is not as able bodied as she once was after knee surgeries, a knee and hip replacement and various other surgeries. As a result she has difficulty getting up into our American Tradition. I was looking for a handle to secure to the right hand side of the steps to assist her. I looked at many handles and after viewing the video on theis handle decided this was the one. As usual, when ordering from etrailer they deliver much more quickly than they promise.
This handle has met and surpassed my expectation. Beautifully finished and very sturdy.. If you are looking to get a new handle on life, look no further. This is awesome!!

My entry door assist handle was delivered on time and undamaged. The fit is not perfect but very close to the original. No one else had one even close to the original and the price with shipping was less than half of what the local RV dealers did have in stock. I will definitely shop at etrailer the next time I need a part for my motor home.

Handle was exactly as expected. Solid support with nice grip. Install was easy using existing holes in RV. I bought this to replace the white version which was yellowing after a year. eTrailer delivery notifications are nice, no questions where shipment is at in the process.

Can't comment on the products as I haven't yet installed or used them but I can comment on the service, which was excellent. I was leaving on a trip soon and one item wasn't available and would have been back ordered which made the whole order not useful to me so I cancelled the order. I pretty quickly received an email that a substitute item (different color) was available, which was agreeable to me, so the full order was sent and received in time for my trip. Lee

This is a large, sturdy, padded handle that works just fine. I decided to mount the handle on the inside by the door because I was tired of grabbing the wall every time I exit the camper. I will get another one to replace the cheesy one that came on the toy hauler on the outside.

- Replacement RV Handle for a Northstar Truck CamperThe most popular handle we offer that would as closely match the dimensions and mounting holes of your previous handle is the Lend-a-Hand Folding Grab Handle # AM-200. This is 24 inches tall and would do a great job making it easier to get in and out of your camper. Since you said the mounting blocks used to anchor your previous handle are only 4 inches tall I would not recommend a solid handle like the # AH-150 since it is much shorter at 18-1/2 inches.

No problems what so ever. still works fine and looks great. By the way, I weight 200 lbs and this handle easily supports me when I exit the camper.
