Replace the worn-out foam grip on your RV handrail with the Dura Grip, which is compatible with any 1" diameter rail. Soft rubber grip is durable, rot-resistant, and UV protected. Easy snap-and-lock installation - no tools required.

Installation of the Dura Grip is quick and easy. First, attach the included tape strips to the handrail, placing them 3-1/2" apart. The tape strips, which will prevent the grip from sliding up and down the rail, will also help you to properly align the 2 sides of the Dura Grip during installation. Position each side of the grip so that the plastic clips match up with the tape strips. Finally, snap both sides of the Dura Grip together over the rail, ensuring that the 3 sets of clips all lock into place.

AJ: What's up, everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we are going to be checking out this Dura-Grip Handle from Stromberg Carlson. This is going to be a good replacement if let's say, you had a foam grip on here and it wore out over time, or you just don't have a grip and you want something better to hold onto when you're getting in and out of your camper. Let's check it out. Take a closer look at the handle.
You can see the rubber texturized grip here. Your fingers fit in between there so you get a good grip when you're getting in and out of your rig. It comes with zip ties and double-sided tape, but since we're not installing this permanently, I'm not going to put those on. I just pushed it together around the handle, but even that.. I'm trying to get my fingers in there to pry it apart and that's not happening.I'd have to get a screwdriver to get it unwedged.
So that just shows you that it does stay together on its own, but you're going to need those zip ties and that double-sided tape, that way it doesn't twist on you when you get in and out. One of the reasons I like this over the foam handles is it's just going to hold up longer. The foam sometimes absorb water and is prone to just get ripped off in strips or something like that, or just deteriorate, and then you don't have any grip on your handle whatsoever. This one's going to hold up to all of that and be sturdy with the zip ties and the double-sided tape. With that said, let's see how it installs. It comes in two different parts and you put it together.
You just make sure you put the end with the tabs in the end without tabs on both sides, so it'll come together like this. Now it does include double-sided tape. We're not permanently installing on this today, so I'm not going to use the double-sided tape, but you should at home. You clean off the bar with some solution to get the dust off there, then put double-sided tape on and it'll help secure this in place. Then you'll put zip ties around the outside.
So you just line up the tabs, hear it click and then push it together and your handle is on there. So it's a fairly simple installation to replace one of those old foam ones and then the zip ties and the double-sided tape will keep it from twisted around. Now, you've got a nice grip. It's going to help you get inside and outside of your RV. Well, I hope this helped.

Replace the worn-out foam grip on your RV handrail with the Dura Grip, which is compatible with any 1" diameter rail. Soft rubber grip is durable, rot-resistant, and UV protected. Easy snap-and-lock installation - no tools required.Great concept with questionable fit.
My assist handle was manufactured by/for the same company that had the replacement grip made.
Added the extra grip to my fifth wheel for extra grip support. Great fit and easy installation.
Works as advertised but has slipped some on the double sided tape and the zip tie strips broke. Used some zip ties I have that cause a scratch hazard which I taped over with black plastic electrical tape to soften the touch.

We hate to see this when it comes to the products that we sell. I have sent this information over to our customer service team for them to contact you.
This is a great idea for changing the ever failing factory foam grip. It is simple to install and very comfortable to the hand.

Over a year and it’s still a great product. Holds up just fine to the elements and is still secure to the railing
The grip was easy to install using the directions on the back of the package. It’s comfortable to grip, and it appears durable. Time will tell

The handrail grip is still functioning well after a year.
As usual the staff at trailer took care of my order quickly. We love the new handle. Better than the foam wrap they hd on the rail from the factory.
Installation was easy after watching video 3 times. Seems to fit well. The seam on one side has a little rough edge, so maybe filing it down will help. I put the grips on front and back but maybe would have been better to turn them a little to fit hsnd better.
This product is well worth the money. It is made well and the directions are great. We have already recommended it to other campers.

It continues to work well and still looks like new. Excellent replacement product.
So far so good. Grip is comfortable. Only thing I don’t like is that it uses zip ties to hold onto the bar. I live in AZ and the heat will make them brittle even though it’s parked in the shade. Can be easily replaced though. Overall a good product.
This is a great upgrade from the standard foam grip on ALL handrails! It stays in place, has a great grip size with finger knurls, and stays cool to the touch. I put 2 of these on the extended hand-rail model from Stromberg-Carlson!
The package was open and missing a tie for the handle

We are sad to hear that your order arrived missing a tie for the handle. I have sent this information over to our customer service team for them to contact you.
We purchased this handle one year ago after the factory foam handle grip weathered and fell apart. It has proven to be a very good product and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a replacement grip without having to replace the entire handle assembly. It installs easily and the instructions are simple to follow. It does not move once installed and is very secure to assist with entry or exit from the Rv. Make sure the zip ties are installed correctly so they don’t interfere with your hands when gripping the handle and I’m sure you will be happy with this product.

The handle grip continues to work just as it has since we installed it. It has not moved at all and has not weathered over our cold winter. I continue to recommend this product to anyone who is looking to replace their foam grip on their RV
Does what it’s supposed to do
Easy to install and a lot more durable than the foam handle that came on our trailer..
but works great and the tipped foam isn’t an eye sore any longer!

Still strong after a year
Nice hand grip. I replaced the torn foam grip on my Camper Lend A Hand.
The instructions aren't very good as far as applying the double back tape.
I had to go to the Stromberg Carlson video to see how to peel off the outer layer. It didn't want to peel off like shown in video. Had to use a thin razor blade to initially separate, then it was fine. I had to use a lot of pressure to get the two halves to snap together completely. Other than that, it is easy to install. Hopefully the tape will be permanent & not eventually weaken thus causing grip to rotate. This is a quality grip, much better then foam, which rips, weakens due to weathering. I recommend it.
Arrived early, great quality, and easily installed.

After one year this grip is in a “like new” condition. Much better than the original grip provided by the manufacturer. Money well spent!
The grip held up well. It was well worth it's price.
this would not snap easily together. in attempting to snap one of the tabs broke. the ties that wrap around it have already broken.
It did not fit properly. I had to cut off the portion that snaps together to get it to go completely around. It then fit, and the straps hold it in place.
It works find with that adjustment.
Better than the foam oem handle grip. The original foam handle cracked and started coming off within 3 months of buying my rig. The new replacement grip has not shown any wear at all.
It fit great, best replacement grab handle cover you can get.
Good fit and better than the original g rip.
Excellent customer service! Great produ ct.
They are still on our RV handle and still look brand new. They are holding up well.
Easy to install and looks great

It is on the handle and stable. I am still not ecstatic about the fit, but it does work only after manipulation
