Make entering and exiting your RV safer with this Fold-Away aluminum, UV-resistant grab handle. The handle installs on either side of your door and can rotate to lay flat agains the RV when not in use. Includes all installation hardware.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the Camco Fold-Away RV grab handle. Now this unit makes entering and exiting your RV easier and safer. It features a weather resistant design. It can be installed on either side of your door and it can rotate to the sides to lay flat against the RV when the handle is not being used. It's got spring loaded mechanisms here in the bracket and so whenever you want to rotate it, all you have to do is lift up on the handle and then rotate it to the side and that's what we mean by it laying flat against the side of the RV. It can also rotate to this side, so you can just lift up, rotate it to the opposite side.
So it's a really nice, easy to use unit. Installation's pretty simple as well. It comes with all the necessary installation hardware that you need, which is just four of these screws right here. These screws measure 2" long and they have a diameter of just a little over 3/16", so almost a 1/4". They're somewhere right in between 3/16" to a 1/4" diameter.So four screws are included, two per bracket, and it's got these nice caps that go over the installation hardware, which keeps your hardware protected and it adds a really nice clean finish look to the unit.
Now the handle itself is made from durable aluminum construction. You don't have to worry about the handle bending or breaking and you don't have to worry about rust or corrosion. It features a really nice aerodynamic design that provides solid, secure grip. It actually has this nice foam handle right here. So it's very comfortable to grab onto when entering and exiting your RV.
That grip area measures 9 3/4" long. Now it's available in three different colors. What I'm showing you right now is white. So it's available in white with part number CAM42176, black with part number CAM42175, and silver with part number CAM42177. The handrail tube, this is a 1" diameter tube.
Overall height from the very top of this bracket to the very bottom of this bracket is 28 1/4".The height from the top edge of the top bracket that makes contact with the mounting surface of this area right here to the bottom edge of the bottom bracket that makes contact with the mounting surface, that measured 26 3/4". The depth from the wall, so from the wall to the furthest out point of the handle, that measures 14 1/4". When it's folded to the side, the thickest or deepest point is right here at the brackets, which only sticks out about 2 3/4" from the installation area. Also, when folded to the side, from the edge of the bracket to the furthest out point of the handle is about 13 1/4". Again, that's when folded. So when it's in this position here, from the back edge of these brackets, so the furthest out point, is where we get the 13 1/4" measurement from and then that depth measurement of 2 3/4" is from the installation surface to the outer edge of the bracket. Now the mount holes, again, two screws per bracket. Mount holes are separated on center by 23 1/2" and again, the hardware is included to get everything installed.That's gonna do it for today's look at the Camco Fold-Away RV grab handle.

The hand rail is the right size! But the staples used on the shipping box made scares on the handle itself! I should have sent it back but I need it right now! The new rail is more secure than the original rail! So I keeper it! the video for sizing was right on the mark!, send black paint!

The part was a perfect replacement and easy to install. But the tolerances on the handle are kind of sloppy (it has a lot of play, just as the original and will probably fail the same way the original did in a couple years.
100 percent satisfying Part came in reasonable time and was installed with no modifications fit like a GLOVE!
The product is a direct replacement from the same company. If it were a quality product, the original would not need to be replaced to begin with. The only reason I got this is so it could be installed with the existing screw holes. I would gladly use a superior product if it didn't mean putting more holes in the side of my camper. Also, it was cheaper on another big website, but the shipping was supposed to have been faster through etrailer. For some reason, this thing started one state over, was shipped multiple states past me in one direction, then sent multiple states past me in the opposite direction. Which, ended up taking longer than the cheaper website.
I chose this one in the hopes I wouldn't have to drill new holes. However, Camco changed the mounting design a little so drilling was required. Now there are only two mounting screws where the old one had four.
