Hello again Daniel,

The B-W (B-W Manufacturing / Parallax) 6300 Series Model 6345 is an older converter/charger unit designed primarily for lead-acid batteries, such as flooded or AGM deep cycle batteries. These older converters typically charge at a single-stage voltage (around 13.6V), which is not suitable for modern lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries.

You can swap out the converter section in your Parallax 6345 with the Progressive Dynamics Replacement Section for AC/DC Power Distribution Panel - 45 Amp # PD4645V in order to charge your lithium batteries.

Getting things geared up for an upcoming trip? If so, where are you headed?

@Daniel You can change out the whole panel, but it will not include a built-in inverter, converters and inverters are separate devices. If you want to replace your entire converter panel with something modern and lithium-compatible, I recommend the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series Mini RV Converter with Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4045KA. For powering 120V appliances from your 12V lithium battery, pair it with a standalone inverter like the Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter with Transfer Switch # PD64FR.

I put in the converter charge works fine and was an easy install. is there a way to add and inverter so that i can run my microwave, ac abd outlets for tv etc when off grind ? I have 600 watts of solar and 2) 300 ah lithium ion batteries. I also have a 4000 watt generate that will run everything. trying to only use that for back up

@Daniel The Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Inverter with Transfer Switch # PD64FR is a great fit for your setup. With your 600Ah lithium battery bank, it gives you plenty of power to run everyday essentials like the microwave, TV, and outlets without needing to fire up the generator. It produces clean power that's safe for electronics and has a built-in 30-amp transfer switch, so it automatically switches between shore, generator, or inverter power without any extra hassle. Since you're already using a Progressive Dynamics converter, this inverter will work smoothly alongside it. It's built for RV use, includes all the key safety features, and is simple to install. Overall, it’s a reliable, easy-to-use option that helps you stay off-grid longer and use your generator only when you really need it.

@Daniel We do have a couple of choices for a 3,000 watt, you will want to go with the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter - 3,000 Watt - 12V # 34278157, or the Redarc Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter - 3,000 Watt - 12V # RED35RR. I attached the instructions for both options, and a couple of review videos as well.
