Video Transcript for An In-Depth Look at the MB Sturgis Propane Hose

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at www.etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 36 inch long, 3/8 inch thermal plastic, high pressure hose, with the 3/8 inch female flare swivel ends on it. Now this is a 3/8 inch inside diameter general purpose hose assembly. It's normally used for LP and natural gas connections. The length we mentioned on this is 36 inches long, and on the ends, I want to zoom in and show you, on the ends we talked about, they use a 3/8 inch size female flare swivel on each end, on this end, and on this end.

And the size wrench used to tighten this down is a 3/4 inch size wrench. Now the hose itself is a thermal plastic construction, which is a plastic polymer, and it becomes more soft when it's heated, and hard when it's cool. Now this hose is typically used to connect portable propane gas equipment to a propane supply, or you can use it on a slide out on an RV to connect to the main piping system. This hose is approved for all RV use in the USA and Canada. It is made in the USA.

Now the maximum pressure rating on this hose is 350 PSI. Temperature range is a -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. But that should do it for the review on this 36 inch long, 3/8 inch thermal plastic, high pressure hose, with the 3/8 inch female flare swivel ends..

Came in a timely manner. Received what I ordered. Everything i needed was in stock. Glad to see you guys carry made in America products.

by:

Seems good

I bought this hose less than a month ago. Has been in use for 3 weeks. I noticed a severe bulge in the outer jacket while checking something completely unrelated. I consider myself fortunate that I caught this before it burst as it could have resulted in a significant danger to my family and those near us. The quality of this hose is HORRIBLE. DO NOT BUY!!

This is a high-quality made in the USA gas line.
I replaced a yellow corrugated gas line on my gas fire pit. The corrugated line made the gas whistle. This seems much better built higher quality fittings and eliminated the whistle.

by:

Replaced a 3 Burner stove top in my rv . The shorter 2 ft length was just what I needed without having extra hose to get in the way .

by:

Nice well-made hose. Very flexible.Etrailers price was far better than others.

by:

The hose was just what I needed!

I haven't attached the new hose yet, but it looks to be exactly what I need! Thanks

Hi Amy. My wife and I were getting ready for a month-long trip in our 34' forest river travel trailer, when I noticed a propane smell on the left rear of the trailer where the kitchen slide is. after crawling around underneath I found small cracks in the original propane hose. I was pleasantly surprised to find you had the exact hose (length and fittings) I needed to do the repairs. I would recommend rv owners with slides where there is a propane appliance that slides out to check the propane hoses at least once a year. Thanks again.

Perfect replacement hose between my frame mounted 100lb tank and regulator. My old hose was pretty rigid from age and after replacing my regulator the old hose developed an ever so slight bubble where the hard rubber met the swivel fitting. Old hose was just too old to remain flexible. This new hose was the exact same length and being new could adapt to the contours needed.

Squirrels chewed a hole into my propane hose. RV repair techs didn't want to deal with a small job and referred me to the dealer. Dealer couldn't locate a part number for the replacement. eTrailer showed me the hose that was right for my travel trailer. I had to purchase a couple of brass nipples ($8.00 at Lowes) and some thread sealant. It took me 20 minutes to replace the hose. eTrailer got me the right hose quickly and followed up to insure that it worked well for me. Great service from an online company.

I didn’t received was as described with a reasonable price..

by:

This hose is outstanding for use with an in-home space heater; much better in function and appearance than a standard metal flextube connector.

by:

Worked great will be ordering again

by:

The hose is A little stiff, but fit my range top perfectly.

by:

I needed a larger ID hose for a supply line from the manifold to the propane hog, on-demand, water heater in my truck camper. Excellent price and quick shipping from etrailer.com.

The hose is working as I expected. On demand water heaters need a larger diameter supply line due to their higher input BTU requirements. No cracks or wear since its inside protected from the elements.

by:

Worked great for adding an additional LP gas port.
