Your high-pressure propane components need a hose between their 3/8" male flare fittings. This 18" hose joins those connections when the components are mounted close together.

Hi everyone. Today we're looking at a MEC propane hose with a three-eighth inch female flare swivel fitting on both ends. Folks, I'm Steven. If you're replacing a worn propane hose or putting together an LP gas system on your RV or trailer, having that flexibility between the components can make installation a lot easier. So instead of trying to line everything up with rigid piping, this 18-inch long hose gives you some room to maybe go around some things and make a connection where maybe it's not centered correctly or you need to go around a corner or you just need something where you can get into something easier. So the connection here on the ends is really easy because both of these spin.
Inside of there, it is a flared fitting. So once you use that seal, it's going to mate to the other fitting. You won't have to use thread tape or sealant on the flare itself. Again, this is a three-eighth inch female flare swivel fitting on both ends. And that's nice because you can tighten that fitting without having to worry about twisting the whole hose whenever you're doing everything.
Now, as always, once you do an e-propane connection and you've installed it, you need to leak test those fittings before you put your systems back in service, before you turn everything on. And I recommend the MEC propane gas detection fluid. We sell a 16-ounce bottle, part number MEC78TR sold separately. So again, folks, whether you're replacing an existing line or adding a flexible connection to your setup such as this, this is a great option for you. Again, this is an 18 inch option.
