Hi everybody, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a Torklift Fortress PowerLock door for your RV cable access doors. And folks, this locking door cover will cover the access door to protect your RV shore power. That way the cord can't be cut, disconnected, or stolen. It's designed to work with most factory RV power cord access doors that are three-and-a-half inch diameter. Overall, this is seven-and-one-eighth inch wide by five-and-five-eighths tall and about two-and-five-eighth inches deep when it's closed if you count the head of the lock there.
Now it is a bolt-in installation with the included hardware. You would have to drill to install that. The mounting plate is gonna install behind your access door. I recommend you get some butyl tape sold separately to seal up everything 'cause you're gonna be putting this through holes. So you put some butyl tape there before you bolt it in place to make that nice waterproof gasket there.
Now the cable slot opening here is one-and-one-eighth inch wide and about two-and-a-quarter inches tall from the base. And again, you can lock it open or closed as needed. It is made of a durable aircraft grade aluminum construction. It's been powder coated in black, so it's got a nice corrosion-resistant finish on there. You won't have to worry about rust, anything like that.
Now this does support RV power cords and other electrical cables up to 50 amps. Once again, you get two keys, and the door is gonna remain closed and locked whenever you're using it. That way, obviously people can't get in and mess with your stuff or whatnot. So once you get it closed, lock it, it's not coming back open. Very nice product.
This is the Torklift Fortress PowerLock RV door for your RV cable access doors. I'm Steven, thanks for watching and have a great one.

Solid product, easy installation
Great lock for my trailer power cord!
Overall, I like the looks of the Fortress PowerLock. However, I was very disappointed to find that you use the cheap, mass produced cam lock everyone else in the RV industry uses! Every outside storage hatch on my RV (Jayco) uses EXACTLY the same camlock which has EXACTLY the same key to open/unlock it with. That means that practically ANYONE who owns an RV has a key to my Fortress PowerLock! How does this provide me with any security? It is my opinion that you should boost the price of the PowerLock by $10 and buy a decent camlock that isn't keyed like every other lock in the RV industry. If I was rating on a "satisfaction" level, it'd be a "Poor" rating.
Excellent item. Worked great with the Valtera shore power hatch
The power lock arrived at other than buyers location as ordered and is in new working condition. The tracking was right on and I was notified when the lock was delivered and received. I am sure I will be making other purchases from etrailer in the future.
