Replaces master cylinder for Titan and Dico Model 10 and Model 20 brake actuators for drum brakes.

Today we'll be having a look at the Titan master cylinder for Titan model 10 and 20 actuators with drum brakes, part number T2374400. Here's what your master cylinder looks like. As you can see, we have a new push rod assembly for it too, and a new cap for our fluid reservoir. Now, the reason you want a new master cylinder is it saves you the hassle and expense of replacing your entire coupler assembly with your actuator. This will allow you to just unbolt a few items, undo one break line, and you'll be able to get your trailer on the road again with working brakes. All right, we have a coupler here sitting on our work bench for demonstration purposes to show you how this would go on. We'll start by prying off this cover with a flathead screwdriver, just go up underneath it and work it out.
Now you can see where your cap is for your master cylinder. We'll unscrew that, get it out of the way. Then we have four bolts to hold our master cylinder assembly in place, two on each side, going to remove all four of those. We'll slide it out with the bracket it's mounted on. We'll undo the four bolts that hold the master cylinder to the bracket.
Now, our master cylinder's held to our bracket with two bolts, and two nuts with star washers. We'll unbolt these real quick. The master cylinder removed from the bracket to place the new one on. We'll tighten down our bolts that hold it to the bracket. Now if you didn't purchase a new fitting that your brake line screws into in the back of your master cylinder, you'll need to swap that, so we'll just loosen that up.
Pop off the plug, and we'll screw that in. We do have these fittings available separately on our website if you'd like to purchase a new one. I'll just snug that back down, we'll remove our cap from the new master cylinder and we'll slide it into our actuator. We'll just push our master cylinder in so our holes line up again. Once you have one started it's a lot easier for the rest because the bolts holding the pressure off of the plunger. Okay, with all our bolts started we'll snug them down again.
Okay, with it bolted down we install our reservoir cap, pop back on our cover here. Once it snaps back in place, your install's complete. Okay, so that shows you how to replace the actual master cylinder itself inside the coupler. If you we're doing this on your trailer, you would have to make sure you replace your brake line here, screw it back in there, refill your reservoir brake fluid and then bleed the brakes on your trailer. It's a real simple process to do, just bleed it like you would any other hydraulic actuator for a master cylinder. There you have it. That completes our look at the Titan master cylinder for Titan model 10 and 20 actuators for drum brakes, part number T2374400.

This Titan master cylinder for a hydraulic brake actuator was just as advertised. Fit and function were perfect. The machining was an exact match to the original 20 year old unit that I pulled from my Dico model 10 "Surge-O-Matic" actuator.
The only differences (unimportant) were the plastic fill cap, (as opposed to metal) and the smaller orifice connector requirement. Otherwise, the perfect replacement solution.
Ordered a replacement master cylinder for my trailer, the part was the same as OEM bolted up fine. Exactly what I needed.
I haven't installed this item yet but will do as soon as my boat is out of the shop plan too. I was going to replace the whole actuator unit until I saw a [online] video. these guys had the exact part for my trailer and purchased the electronic brake backup unit. shipping was fast and excellent prices as matter better than [online retailer]. I have some more parts to purchase to complete my trailer brake overhaul..

This was actually a fun project though I would say it looked very intimidating. The product works great and went in much easier than anticipated. my friend was so impressed we ordered one for his trailer overhaul

seems to be holding up well, it is nice to have brakes work as they should on a heavy trailer and machine.
I was unable to find this part locally and was hesitant to look on-line as I wasn't positive of what I needed. Etrailers customer service, selection and shipping was spot on; they will be my first choice in the future.

Order arrived quickly. Charged shipping when I thought it was included since I was ordering an item not stocked.
Went to install master cylinder needed a T1209800 Orifice.
called Titan engineer said he told the E Trailer person calling on the needed cover that I would need the Orifice to connect brake line. Now I have 3 separate shipping charges to get what I need.
I had an older trailer and was able to identify all the components I needed by looking at the pictures on the web sight. Found everything I needed, ordered and it was at my door 3 days after shipping. All parts where what I needed. Excelent.

Received product quickly and accurately. One important thing I didn’t realize was the back port size for the old Titan model 10 for drums is different this new model so you MUST buy the reccomemded fitting or you’ll very disappointed. You must have the correct size fitting otherwise your system will have to much pressure and cause your brakes to “shutter” or grip to hard when braking.
Product was delivered with the rest of the order lightning fast. The price made me skeptical of the quality, but this appears to be the real deal. They come fully assembled down to the contact points being already lubed. Everything was packed carefully and suitably to protect the products from damage in shipping. It is very evident that the employees at etrailer.com care about their products and customers.
This fit perfectly into my Titan Model 10 actuator for drum brakes. The filler cap is plastic but so I kept my old metal cap and used that instead. I'm keeping the plastic one as a spare.
Product was exactly what i expected and at a great price. Shipping was fast. My only regret was not ordering the special brass adapter sold along with this new brake cylinder. The tread size on the new master cylinder is 1/8 in and my original one was 1/4 in. Oops.
I looked everywhere and could not find the parts i needed, I came across etrailer.com and found every part i needed with a very good price. The site is very helpful with information and video's. Now I can get my trailer finest with the right parts and not jerryrig it.

Fits Good although Exit Port was not sized right, Which made me have to purchase
one more item which I had to have. Costing me extra shipping. I must learn to look
closer at the display and see if more was offered. Everyone wants to save or make more Money.
