Still holding up after a year!

I use the product primarily to keep my hand from sliding off the the rack bar when I pull myself up onto the door frame. They keep straps from sliding off the bars, too. Thye have been working well.

Oops, I guess. Spacers werent needed once partially threaded bolts slipped through the fresh plastic. Rating should be a 3, reflecting that the kit works but instructions have issues.

The universal hardware upgrade kit utilizes the older style clamp system as it fits with the older generation of ski carriers from Thule. You may want to consider a newer ski carrier as they have a newer strap around clamp system that is easier to use. Such as part # TH7324B or # Y03095

Made it thru its first ski season with no issues. Mount is still in great shape. If you have an older thule and need a universal mount, this will do the job for you.

The brackets are still great. I just installed the rack again about a month ago to get ready for the ski season and it was easy and super secure.

Still not a perfect fit with my 2010 sporttrac. It needs some shims for a good fit. I got some good help from Thule support when fitting.
