Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a replacement lid for the MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus roof vents. This unit simply replaces the lid for your old roof vent. It works as a replacement for part number MA00A04301K and MA00-04000K. It attaches the same way as your old lid. You will need to use your existing hardware for the installation, or get some new hardware. This does not come with any hardware.

It attaches the same way. It's white in color. It's a very durable lid. And, it's not translucent. So, it's a solid design, not really going to let light through.

It's constructed of a high density, polypropylene which is very strong and durable. Minimal flex, and that's just a nice thick plastic light construction.It does come with the brackets for attaching, but again, the hardware needed, you'll have to use your existing hardware. That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement lid for the MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus roof vents.

We have replaced this cover multiple times. It gets a crack in it and then starts leaking. Is there a way to adjust the tension on it so that it doesn’t crack.

We replaced the stock fan that was loud and moved very little air with a Maxxfan in our RV shower. The installation was straightforward and can be performed with simple tools. I purchased extra sealant which turned out to be a good idea. The Maxxfan is superior to the standard fan found in most RV’s. It is quiet, moves much more air, and feels much more solid in terms of build quality.

Wish I could say this worked well, but it cracked within 1 month letting water in, so I used a roll of duct tape to help protect it from stray pine cones and it cracked again letting in more water. So not impressed with it's minor impact protection. I'm wondering if this isn't UV safe and the southern 100+ degree sun isn't weakening it. I'll order the black one and see if it's better plastic.

  • MaxxFan Hinge Pin Removal for Lid Replacement
    To remove the hinge pin you'll need to remove the Phillips screw from each side of the cover. Then the lift arm supports can be disconnected from the lid, and the new lid can be put in place. You just want to make sure to replace all the hardware you removed to get the lid off.
