Installing the UniMaxx replacement lid (or dome) does not require drilling if you are replacing a Ventline Ventadome roof vent lid. The pre-assembled lid mounts directly onto the hinge on the Ventadome frame. Hardware is not needed.
If you do not have a Ventadome, the UniMaxx lid has a universal-fit hinge that will work with Elixir, Ventline, Jensen, Hengs, and other roof vent assemblies. With the included rust-resistant hardware, the lid mounts onto the frame of your existing roof vent. Please note that drilling is required.
The universal-fit hinge also has a pre-drilled hole on either side. This allows you to install a MaxxAir standard roof vent cover (sold separately).
This replacement lid is constructed of durable, impact-resistant polypropylene that can stand up against damage caused by flying rocks and debris. Special additives help ensure that the material can resist the negative effects of UV rays. The lid is also translucent so that some natural light can shine through.

Came to our campground in record time and beautifully packaged. After some head scratching as to how to disassemble the broken one, it was a really easy install for the cover. Very happy with the results!
The material seems sturdy and the hardware was adequate. Simple to install. However, the plastic clip used to connect the arm to the slider is complete rubbish. It does not clasp together securely and pops off at the slightest crank of the handle or bump in the road. The last time I had to fix it I used a zip tie to hold it together. So far that seems to be working.

Installed 3 vents lids. First vent was a pain in the butt. Trying to follow the video and written instructions.2nd and 3rd went better, found much easier and faster way. Fit was not perfect by no means. My travel trailer is a 97 32-foot Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite. Parts are hard to find that will fit. I took that into consideration. Have not had a chance to see how this turns out. Installed less than 12 hours. Service and shipping was GREAT!!!
I installed this vent cover about a year ago. Its smoke color which I prefer, to limit the intense AZ sun. Lets face it, like most RV stuff, its just cheap plastic....well more like a poly carbonate like material. It installed easily. Looks much better than the cheap, flimsy, opaque originals that came on my camper. They havent faded that I can tell, or cracked. Id purchase again.
Easy fit on my trailer over my bathroom vent. Excellent instructions on how to install it. I am very happy with the product.
The attachment for the hinge that pushes the skylight open and closed is a cheap bit of plastic, so this winter the skylight took some wind and eventually sent that piece and the skylight flying. Fortunately, the base is screwed in so that was still available for reattaching and the skylight itself was not broken. Anyway, it’s jury rigged and still functional. Better than the original I guess.
Installation was more difficult than I expected, mostly due to rust and deteriorating plastic of the original vent. But I was able to get this installed on our 1999 Aerolite 21RBH travel trailer and it's working just as expected. The instructions were clear enough that once I had the old stuff out, this installed cleanly. I may need another one.
Perfect replacement for the replacement that I had to replace. Basically, lost a cover the previous owner installed and this was an exact replacement.

The translucent cover really lets the light in like a skylight. The plastic is far superior to the cheap ones that were installed new and cracked in two years. They will open in transit if not cranked down really tight though.
Pretty straightforward install. Metal mounting bracket could be beefier. Opener attachment clip is too thick and will not work on my unit without modification. So much for "universal"
Very helpful people and had wonderful customer service experience after I ordered the wrong vent cover. The correct one works great.
Since the part I ordered was a vent cover, I needed it quickly in order to keep the rain out. My order was fulfilled in a timely manner. More importantly, because of the product videos on the website, I was able to order the correct replacement and was confident with regards to installation.
