I want to buy just the adaptor plate that will allow me to bolt it to my 10000 lb pintle hitch. This will allow me to pin my pintle hitch to my existing 2 inch adjustable height mounting bracket. Will the 2 inch Brophy adjustable height pintle hitch adaptor plate work in this application. I did not see where the Brophy adaptor plate can be bought separately as a replacement part.

Hey Mike. The adapter plate on the Brophy Adjustable Pintle Hook Mounting Plate item # BR46MJ isn't available separately but I have an alternative.
The Pintle Hook Adapter for Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Weight Distribution Shank item # PA-1 will work with a standard weight distribution shank and has a 10,000 lbs capacity. It is designed to attach to a weight distribution shank that has 1-1/4" between the mounting holes.
The Pintle Hook Adapter item # PA-1 has 1/2" diameter bolt holes. Vertically the holes are 1-3/4" apart and horizontally they are spaced 3-3/8".
What brand of weigh distribution shank do you have?
