Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our boat trailer winch with a 23 foot strap. And this guy is rated at 1600 pounds capacity. Now, the ratcheting handle here I've got just kind of loosely fitted. You would tighten down this lock nut here and everything and then it would be nice and rigid, but once you tighten it down, you can't reuse it.

So I'm just for demo purposes, keeping it loose. You can ratchet it forward or flip the lever down, ratchet it back for letting the strap come out. Now, this handle is 10 and a half inches long. The handle plastic here is three and a half inches long. It's a nice, what we call comfort grip handle, so it makes it real easy to use.

It spins while you're cranking, so it's real easy ergonomically and everything. The thumb latch here, very simple to use, lightweight, forward or back, depending on which way you have it engaged. Now, the gear ratio here is a 4.1 to 1, the capacity is 1600 pounds. This belt strap here or this strap rather, can pull out 23 foot total. And the base here is your standard winch base.

Here you've got elongated holes here, the long one here, and then the tube going this way. That's how you can mount this winch if you need to move a little bit from trailer to trailer, that kind of thing. It's kind of a universal fit, if you will, as far as those mounting holes and everything. Now, there's no hardware that comes with this. You would just reuse your old hardware or source some locally.

So again, very simple to operate and use. You got the thumb latch here, forward or back. (lever clicking) And that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together at this boat trailer wench. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
