The TracRac base rails provide the foundation for this unique, customizable system. No-drill, stake-pocket installation yields securely mounted rails that sit atop your factory side rails. Each rail has 2 tracks for maximum adjustability.
Because the rack section at the front of your truck bed mounts to a different T-track than the one in the rear, the sections can be moved so that they are right next to each other. The result is unobstructed access to your truck bed and improved aerodynamics when you are not using the rack.
TracRac offers accessories that are designed to mount in these tracks. Base rail tie-downs (TA25100 - sold separately) give you additional cargo-management options. These rustproof, aluminum tie-downs slide across the rails for optimal placement and are secured in place with the turn of a knob.
Included with your TracRac system is the cantilever extension, which attaches to the front crossbar to provide 32" of additional length over the cab of your vehicle. With this extension piece mounted you can carry long loads safely and easily. The crossbar of the cantilever extension is constructed in the same fashion as the other TracRac crossbars so that you get the same sturdy, aerodynamic styling throughout.
The sturdy aluminum crossbars on all TracRac truck racks feature integrated slots for mounting and easily adjusting accessories, such as the included load stops. These slots appear on both the top and bottom of the bars for the ultimate in mounting versatility. Like the pieces that mount in the base rails, these accessories also have quick-release knobs that let you loosen and tighten them with a mere twist of a knob so that they can be positioned as needed along the bars.
A built-in trip strip at the front of each crossbar shields the slots from wind, maintaining the aerodynamic quality of the bars and preventing that annoying whistle you often find with slotted bars.
Included with your TracRac SR are 8 tie-down accessories. The 4 load stops are designed to mount in the slots of the crossbars and slide along them for quick, easy adjustment. These bookend-style pieces help to hold ladders and lumber in place on the crossbars. They also have built-in loops for securing tie-down straps.
The 4 cleats attach at any of the provided mounting points along the outsides of the upright supports so that you can tie down items that require additional anchoring or that sit in your truck bed.
The TracRac base rails and rack system, as well as most TracRac accessories, are constructed of durable, lightweight aluminum. Because aluminum is lighter than steel - the material most often used for truck racks - only a small percentage of your truck's cargo capacity is taken up by the rack itself, enabling you to pack on more weight than you could with a steel system.
Even though aluminum is already rustproof in itself, TracRac has taken the extra step of adding a dual powder coat finish to further protect your rack. The electrostatic powder coat (e-coat) clings to the metal surface better than traditional paint finishes for a more durable covering. The second coat is a clear finish that adds extra shine and protection from scuffs and scratches.

This versatile, sliding ladder rack adjusts along the length of your truck bed and easily removes from the included T-track base rails. Over-the-cab extension lets you carry long pipes, lumber, and more. Lightweight, rustproof aluminum construction. The TH43002XT-781EX installed onto my 2016 GMC 2500 HD Sierra 6-1/2 bed Denali pickup truck without drilling any holes. Total install time including the cantilever took about 2 1/2 hours with two people. The tools we used included a wide range of metric hex keys, a crescent and some metric open-endeds. The base rails mounted to the bed rails using a threaded aluminum insert for the rear stake pockets (which align with a thru-hole already present in the bed) and an expanding rubber bushing for the front stake pockets (since the front pockets don't have a thru-hole). Evidently some pickup rails cant to one side or another so the base rail install kit includes shims but my truck did not require them. Once installed the rails are rock solid and subsequently the racks are also rock solid. The cantilever comes with replacement saddles that mount up to the rack with a total of 12 bolts making the ensemble nearly missile proof. Almost all bolts are pre-treated with thread locker. My truck already has knobby tires so I did not notice any particular additional wind noise. My plan for the TracRac is to attach a custom mounted Rhino-Rack, which we'll be doing ourselves. I like this product because the fitment on etrailer was reliable and I did not have to drill any holes or use any special tools. The rack is also ridiculously heavy duty, which is more than up to the job of holding the Rhino-Rack I'm going to custom fit to it. We'll be doing some off-roading so this heavy equipment gives me a lot of confidence. Thule always makes great products and I am delighted with the TracRac and I'm very happy with etrailer's site. 787439

This is a high quality product. The parts are all well made, and most everything is either stainless or aluminum, so it should last a long time. I bought it because my Kargo Master Pro-II was rusting up badly in only about eight years. Assembly isn't easy. Takes lots of time to get the rails level and evenly spaced, needs to be near perfect for the uprights to slide easily. And, there are just a lot of parts to put together. Assembly took a little longer because the instructions didn't match the kit in one area. The manual tells you to pre-assemble a bunch of fasteners, but then you realize that your parts don't have slots, like the instructions expect, but rather holes instead. So, the parts needed to be unassembled, then reassembled again, this time through the holes. No biggie, but it added to the time necessary. Be nice if the clips up on top could be easily removed when not in use. They look strange, and add height to your truck. I only ordered two of the tie-downs with the rack, should have ordered four so that shipping would be free. They are expensive, but nice. They didn't suggest it in the manual, but I think it would be a good idea to use anti-sieze on the hardware, I'm a little worried about galling down the road when disassembly is necessary. Stainless is prone to do that. In summary, though, this is a dang nice rack! I don't regret the purchase at all. 302432

Bought new Trac Rac SR racks. Great price, fast delivery. One small piece to the system was missing which prevented me from installing the racks. Contacted George and he had the missing part shipped out right away. Seems the missing piece was the factory's fault not etrailers. Will use again in the future. 462111

Great product! Packaging could be better for the larger pieces (rub marks). My 2018 Ram 1500 quad cab came with some small challenges that I had to solve myself. No videos or written words available. Basically if your bed rails are covered with a bed liner you need to remove the plastic sleeve in the rear stake pockets. Otherwise you won’t get an equal spacing from one rail to the other. You will also need to use the provided rubber tape with the wedges in order to make the rails level. Otherwise it went together great. 706744

Couldn't be happier with the Rack, it went together and operates flawlessly. Dealing with e trailer was a snap, I was informed all the way through the buying process of shipping and arrival dates. Will absolutely buy shop again with e trailer. 213054

Product is great and installed easily once I figured out that for my Ram 1500 Laramie, the pocket stakes are too big for the rubber blocks and won't work and I did have to drill thru the plastic molding. Once I figured out the stake holes wouldn't work I looked at the drawing again and the holes where Tundra is listed gave me the idea to try those. Those holes worked on the Ram and I ended up drilling out the "spikes" that hold the molding onto the sheet metal. No drilling thru the sheet metal was required, only the plastic. Maybe I missed an install video for the Ram, it would have made the install much quicker and I wouldn't have to buy covers for my now cut out front stake pocket holes which weren't covered by the rails as I hoped they would. I haven't installed the cantilever as I don't need it yet. 666596

Well built product. Easy install. Combined it with a Bakflip F1 Tonneau cover. Minus a few minor things they work well together. 521238

The rack system is very well put together. I only had a couple of issues with the instalation. There wasn't any directions with the base rails, so it took a bit to figure out how it went together and what holes to use for my truck. The canteilever kit, The top bolt that holds the cross bar should be a button screw and square nut, not a square head bolt and nut. with the square head bolt and nut it could interfere with a long load since it sticks up and could catch on anything being loaded . All and all a nice rack. I got this type of rack hoping that I could slide the rear post forward as to not interfere with my 5th wheel when towing it. That part is yet to be dedurmined. 526720

Shipping was quick As described Easy to assemble. Wish the kit had one set of directions so I wouldn't have had to take the front rack apart after the fact. The final bolts for the canteleaver seem to be a damage/ scratch hazard. Looks pretty slick though. 704535

Very happy with the rack on my 2018 Silverado. I also have the Back flip hard top bed cover. I am able to open all but the very last position. I might still be able to adjust the rails and to get there but it hasn't been an issue. Used it to haul lumber and I made a bicycle rack that works with the racks and the bed cover down. Works great. Was not hard to install. 705960

I like the rack and have owned 4 of them. My biggest complaint is that the finish comes off because they appear to be using a lower quality aluminum that the old style. My original one 15 years ago never did that. 936001

Very heavy duty ladder rack that does not "whistle" while you drive down the road. Easy install overall, and it is very easy to install and remove the racks as needed after the original install. At the time of purchase this was not available for my vehicle with a short 5.5' bed, but with very minor fabrication the rails for longer beds fit perfectly. I have recommended this rack to several people since purchased a year ago. 894847

Bought in end of november 2019. It's the beginning of August. Never would buy again. Replaced so many screws already. Adjusting the rack sucks and the screw downs to secure the rack to the rails will not tighten/lose to slide because they are completely corroded together. Hasn't even been a year....very disappointed. 855916

I ordered the TracRac SR (sliding rack) for my 2019 Ram 3500. It took a while to get here, probably due to the current situation weall in. It came in 3 boxes on 2 days. (Just so you know what you'll be looking for) everything was packaged very secure in the boxes. I order the Cantilever with mine, so I had to swap out a couple parts. No big deal. Everything was explained in the instructions. It took me about 3 hours to install. The hardest part was getting the bed rails to align. I got them within 1/16th of an inch. Good enough. The rack is a great addition to the truck. I stepped down from an 8ft bed to this 6ft 4in bed. So this was a necessity. The rack is solid. I'll be putting it to work right away 816250
