Video Transcript for Let’s Check Out the Vietnam Veterans Seal Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover

Today we're gonna be taking a look at part number AMG102401.This is the Vietnam Veteran's seal on a trailer hitch receiver cover that's designed for two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. The units going to slide into you're hitch receiver to help keep out dirt as well as prevent rusting corrosion to the hitch. Hitch covers also give your vehicle a nice clean finished look. We're gonna have the screen printed color emblem that's gonna sit on a chrome plated metal frame. Very stylish and very durable. Now one of the things I want to point out that is really hard to see its does have a really thick, protective finish over the screen printing or over the image to prevent fading and chipping. So that's gonna be protected for a long time. We're gonna have a black powder coated metal construction.

Very strong and durable and that's everything. It's gonna do a good job at resisting rusting corrosion as well as fading so its gonna last a long time as well. You see here on the back side that we can't really see any welds or any thing like that because the welds are located in the shank in the corners so its a nice solid construction. Now it's also gonna come with you're foam gasket. This is gonna go over the shank in between the back of the face plate and the opening of your hitch. Its gonna really reduce rattle, and in some cases it may even completely prevent rattling depending on your style of hitch. This piece right here is gonna be the piece that slides into the two inch by two inch hitch, and then your gonna need a pin and clip or a hitch lock for a complete installation to secure it in your hitch.

Those items are sold separately if you don't already have one you can find those here at etrailer.com Again this is designed for a two inch by two inch hitches. Take a look at the face dimensions. It's gonna measure about five inches that direction. Overall height is going to be about three and a half inches. If we take a measurement from the back of that face plate to the center of the hitch pin hole we're looking at about two and five eighths of an inch. We're gonna go ahead and show you how this installs inside of the hitch.

Very simple process. We're gonna go ahead and place the gasket over the shank. And then we'll go ahead and place it inside of our hitch. Push it in until the pin holes line up with the pin holes in the hitch, and then we can insert a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock. The one I'm using for demonstration today is part number pc3.

That's gonna be your standard five eighth inch pin and it does come with a clip for the other side. That's gonna do it for today's look at part number AMG102401.
