Today we're gonna be taking a look at part number AMG102401.This is the Vietnam Veteran's seal on a trailer hitch receiver cover that's designed for two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. The units going to slide into you're hitch receiver to help keep out dirt as well as prevent rusting corrosion to the hitch. Hitch covers also give your vehicle a nice clean finished look. We're gonna have the screen printed color emblem that's gonna sit on a chrome plated metal frame. Very stylish and very durable. Now one of the things I want to point out that is really hard to see its does have a really thick, protective finish over the screen printing or over the image to prevent fading and chipping. So that's gonna be protected for a long time. We're gonna have a black powder coated metal construction.
Very strong and durable and that's everything. It's gonna do a good job at resisting rusting corrosion as well as fading so its gonna last a long time as well. You see here on the back side that we can't really see any welds or any thing like that because the welds are located in the shank in the corners so its a nice solid construction. Now it's also gonna come with you're foam gasket. This is gonna go over the shank in between the back of the face plate and the opening of your hitch. Its gonna really reduce rattle, and in some cases it may even completely prevent rattling depending on your style of hitch. This piece right here is gonna be the piece that slides into the two inch by two inch hitch, and then your gonna need a pin and clip or a hitch lock for a complete installation to secure it in your hitch.
Those items are sold separately if you don't already have one you can find those here at etrailer.com Again this is designed for a two inch by two inch hitches. Take a look at the face dimensions. It's gonna measure about five inches that direction. Overall height is going to be about three and a half inches. If we take a measurement from the back of that face plate to the center of the hitch pin hole we're looking at about two and five eighths of an inch. We're gonna go ahead and show you how this installs inside of the hitch.
Very simple process. We're gonna go ahead and place the gasket over the shank. And then we'll go ahead and place it inside of our hitch. Push it in until the pin holes line up with the pin holes in the hitch, and then we can insert a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock. The one I'm using for demonstration today is part number pc3.
That's gonna be your standard five eighth inch pin and it does come with a clip for the other side. That's gonna do it for today's look at part number AMG102401.

The Arizona State University hitch cover I purchased through etrailer matches every detail of my Jeep Wrangler and allows me to show off my school pride in style.
Customer service has been excellent; however, the trailer hitch cover is starting to show wear less than a year after purchase. I would not purchase this item again due to the premature wear.
Thanks for your message and following up a year later! I have purchased two of these hitch covers for both of our cars. I'll attach pictures. I believe the first one I bought was 2 years ago and the second was a year ago. The two year old cover has shown a great deal of rust and deterioration over those two years. The other one is in much better shape but I would expect the same to happen over this next year.
I do live in Pittsburgh, a very rainy and humid climate for most of the year. Obviously in winter months, we get a lot of snow and ice with the roadways covered with salt. I'm sure those factors contribute to the rusting of this product.

It took to long to get to us via mail and I wish the product had multiple holes giving us the option of adjusting it to fit the hitch receiver better.

Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

I love the emblem. Exactly as shown in the photos and the construction of this is solid.
My only problem is that the length of the tube does not allow me to use it when I have the anti-rattle collar installed. I have to remove the anti-rattle when not towing. I would love it if there was an option for a tube that is maybe 1 inch longer.

The emblem is first class but only gave it 3 stars because the shaft doesn't even come close to fitting my 2015 Ford F-150. I had to use some of the kids swimming pool float things cut to fill in the gap and prevent rattling. Disappointed that someone apparently didn't consider the placement of the hole on the shaft.
This is a quality trailer hitch. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. I received it very fast after ordering it. I highly recommend this company and already have another order placed.
